Used to watch Dave Allen on a sunday night in the 70s....excellent jokes that many have recycled....in those days he sat in his odd high chair smoking and drinking and making us laugh....as he got older he stopped smoking and drinking (on tv) but got more exasperated and funnier😂 Never told the same story about his finger twice. Ps Many thousands of years ago we evolved these odd fingers...known historically as thumbs👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Your face at 9:05 😂 When he said "thistle down," there's a horse race track in my area named "Thistle Down." And so, I named myself Thistle Down in Fortnite, after the race track. When I first signed up for Fortnite / Epic Games, they told me to choose a name. I couldn't think of ANYTHING to name myself, and I wanted to name myself something cool, something that's not as personally identifying, stuff like that. I was like "Do I name myself after what I'm a fan of? Do I name myself after a place? Do I tweak my real name into a pseudonym?" I was asking myself all of these different questions, like that. Finally I thought of the horse race track, since the name sounds cool, and most people wouldn't know anything about it, unless they're from my area. That's how I became Thistle Down in Fortnite / Epic Games. So, Mandy, if YOU play Fortnite, now you can add me as a friend in the game. Your voice sounds so sexy and lovely when it goes deep from the cold that you have. I heard about the safety of sitting in the back of the plane, too. I've always assumed that, since the restroom is usually in the back of the plane, that it would be fine to be in there during a crash, too, but I never heard confirmation on it (nobody ever mentioned it - probably because it's a restroom), so I couldn't answer that person's question, either. But, I can imagine all of the person's shit and piss getting all over the person in the restroom, during such event. And then, if the person's having "trouble" while using it, and then that happens ..... "Off the plane, sir!" "Wait! I'm stuck! One more push!" 😄 And, if I'm gonna put a pillow on my lap, it won't be during a plane landing. ....... ahem ........ 😉😉 It's dumb that people have to wait four months to get to the hospital. Are there other hospitals to go to? Does urgent care exist in Argentina? Can you ask a pharmacist at a drug store what to do?

Loved this! Hope the cough goes away soon. I have a persistent cough most of the time, so I know some of the pain of it, and the annoyance of not being able to sing, too! I sing for my mood, and because I don't want to get out-of-practice. Anyway, love and hugs! 🤗🫶

Try gargling with salt water. Not so salty it makes you gag, but try it 2 or three times a day. Water should be as hot as you can stand. also try the old honey and lemon, grate in some of the rind too.

Sorry to hear they’re such a waiting time for the hospital for you. Here in Britain, we have the NHS I contacted the doctor after three weeks, three days later camera down the throat. It was acid reflux from the stomach night aggravating the throat. I think they call it Gaviscon A spoonful after every meal sorted the problem. I hope you get better soon sorry, but all we can do is send our best wishes wish there was more

For a persistent cough I’d recommend Friars Balsam if you can get it. Put some in steaming water and inhale the vapours, or put a few drops on a sugar cube and allow do dissolve in your math. I had a cough that lasted months once and this really helped clear it.

@@MandyCaneLane It’s a pretty old fashioned remedy in the U.K. (and possibly elsewhere, I don’t know) but very few people under a certain age seem to know about it. It was recommended to me just over 20 years ago by a woman in her 70’s. It’s been around since the 1700s and is a tincture of benzoin in ethanol. It can be used to apply to wounds under a dressing as it’s antiseptic, and also as a decongestant. It can also be used to treat blisters and sores. If you drop some in hot water and inhale the steamy vapours with a towel over your head it loosens all the nasty stuff in you lungs so it coughs out with ease, and the cough goes super fast. The old lady gave me an old bottle of it that looked decades old. She recommended taking some on a sugar cube as well, which really worked. It wasn’t until long after this when I brought a new bottle that I found out that they now put a warning on it saying it should never be taken orally! It’s apparently not all that good when ingested. So I reverted to inhaling. I had a look on-line to see if it was available in your neck of the woods, only to find it’s now been discontinued altogether. It’s probably not considered to be safe or something. I used it for years with no issues, although in my case some might say it could account for a few things!😀

Maybe it was someone else. I wrote to you about the finger, but I didn't say "I can't believe you didn't notice", I just asked if you had. Dave Allen's TV show (this one particularly, not the sketch show) was my favourite show when I was a teenager, and I didn't realise until someone pointed it out to me. Guess I'm not a finger starer... It's not aged well, with jokes since appearing elsewhere, as you mentioned, but this was my favourite bit of his. And, even though he passed 18 years ago, to this day, every time I get a flight, as I have done since seeing this bit 30 years ago, I check the safety card for fins...

For the cough try hay fever tablets. I would get a cold that would clear but the cough wouldn't go. Gone on for years, one time the cough went on for nearly a year, had hospital lung function tests etc. Antibiotics x 2 courses and nothing. My sons mum handed me some piriteze to give him the weekend I had him and I took a swig to see what it tasted like, not only did it clear my nose I noticed the cough noticeably eased, took a week course of hay-fever tablets after and cough was gone.

Depends on landing, most have single front wheel so try to land more nose up during crash, once happened and most in back died but pilots survived and those in mid section

Try something from your chemist for 'acid reflux' (for your cough and sore throat), the reflux causes acid to move above the food pipe, causing tiny droplets of stomach acid to land in the voice box or throat. The irritation causes inflammation to occur, leading to symptoms like coughing, hoarseness, throat clearing or feeling that something is stuck in the throat ... A popular over the counter medicine in the UK is 'Gaviscon' ... I've had the cough & it's bl**dy annoying ... 🤗
