Just, FYI, Neal, the saying ' a dingo ate my baby' seemed to become a joke to a lot of Americans. The backstory of this is tragic. A family on a camping holiday, the baby asleep in the tent. The dingo did indeed snatch the baby and run away with it. Obviously for a meal. The mother was the one who shouted those words. Sadly, authorities did not believe her, and she ended up in jail for a period of time, till new evidence was found. Aussie cringe hard when hearing this said as a joke.

People do give their state or worse online they use an abbreviation of their state like CO, we have no hope of knowing what that is. I do know Cali is California but we also have a Cali beach here that it could be. So no abbreviations. Over here there tends to be a lot more chit chat between customer and server than I believe happens over in the States. I know even regular Americans have been tripped up by that. And of course you don't need to tip, the staff are probably making about $23+ an hour. Majority of Aussies are not trying to be offensive if they ask political questions. I think because most of us don't give a toss about politics unless its close to an election we may ask stuff with out even thinking its political or we expect that the American will be as chill about it as we are.

It's also that we can respect each others opinions and remain friends with people who vote for parties we don't like. it seems to me that USA's politics is more like a religious war than a respectful conversation between friends which is sad.

Yep Australians do like to travel, I think it’s because we are so far away from everywhere FOMO maybe 🤷🏽‍♀️ so you might as well make the most of when you are outside of the country - also helps when you can get a decent amount of holidays as well. That reminds me I really gotta get back to Japan, I’m sure it’s missing me 😅

Yes, she is right. Politics is not a big sticking point here, so we tend to think it is the same for other nationalities. But we are very curious about America, we get most news from there after our own, so we like to hear from a sensible person what they think and how they feel about issues.

loving your videos brother :) i would love to do a video chat with you & have a chat about our countries and their differences. ive been to over 200 cities in Australia so would love to explain alot of the differences in this country. i don't think people realise just how big it is. Australia is not much smaller then the US. from where i live approx 1.5hrs drive WEST OF Brisbane, i can go to over a dozen different countries QUICKER then it takes to go to Western Australia (the other side of aus) NZ included and thats very south from me lol.

Yeah, Philadelphia is a brand of cheese here lol. People ask those questions because politics is irrelevant to people, I have known some people for a couple of decades here and have no idea or interest in what political party they support, it is a topic that is totally meaningless to the majority of people in Oz. If people ask Americans those sorts of questions it is from a standpoint of simple curiosity, not a standpoint of caring what politics or political party they are interested in or support.

Maybe the topic of politics isn't discussed much in ur circles but it certainly is in mine. Point of difference is that it seems in the US if u have a diff opinion ur mortal enemies, here it's a lively debate or just "OK, whatevs, we don't gotta agree on e'thing" & the talk moves on.
