Most gangs are territorial, based upon an area, region, or particular Borough, some associated with football clubs. There is now also a racial aspect to some gangs. Each gang try to keep rival gangs out of their area. There is a growing problem with County lines drug distribution gangs, using schoolkids etc to spread drugs around the country.

As you can see from this video, most gangs only have problems with other gangs. They rearly ever do anything to random people (unless that person did something to cross the gang) The Kray twins were known as "the gentlemen of murderers" as they would be nice and polite to anyone NOT involved with that kind of lifestyle. As long as you was respectful to them, they were to you too. One of my aunties used to have a Cafe in london which the krays would often frequent. She had one basic rule (similar to the continental hotel from john wick) You was more than welcome to come in and sit for something to eat, or use the back room for private meetings, but you was NOT allowed to "conduct business" on the premesis. If there was ever any problems i nthe cafe from someone acting up, the krays would send someone around to remove them from the building. One afternoon, some random gang found out the krays were at the cafe and they kray brothers themselves activly protected my auntie from harm, while some of the rest of the gang dispersed the rival gang..

We have a lot of laws around the use of land and the upkeep of existing buildings after sale. The older the building, the more chance it has listed status and those are expensive to keep habitable. So you buy the land and you can't take down the building and build something else on the property. It's "surprising" how many of these buildings suffer a fire out of nowhere. Then when the building falls down, the owner gets a insurance windfall to build whatever building they wanted on the site now that it's just rubble.
@allenwilliams1306 Жыл бұрын
Even that doesn't mean you can build what you like on the site. If the council suspects what has happened was a way around planning laws, they could order you to restore whatever's left to its original condition.

The video forgot the Quality Street Gang from Salford, Manchester where I live. In the sixties the Krays thought they would muscle in on the Manchester crime scene. They travelled by train from London, arriving at Piccadilly station, only to be met by FOUR HUNDRED men, all waiting on the platform. The Krays and their cronies were so scared they refused to get off the train! They never came back to Manchester again. Having worked in nightclubs in the 80s and 90s I had lots of first-hand experience of what it was like. One club had a wheelie bin full of petrol pushed down the stairs as a warning, another had a car actually driven through the front doors and crashing and getting stuck on the stairs down to the club. An old school friend became a doorman at the Hacienda and was followed home and murdered. Many of my friends were, a couple still are, doormen. A few knew the Noonan brothers personally. I could tell you a lot the spicy stories about then things that went on back then, like me standing outside an illegal rave in a warehouse unit with 5000 people inside, telling a police inspector to "bugger off this is a private party", while I could see a mate still trying to steal electricity from a lamp post to power more amps and lights😂😂😂

I used to live in Birmingham, the uk one ahah. We moved when I was four because the gangs were so bad that it wasn’t safe to walk down the street at night or even sometimes during the day with the threat of being stabbed or abducted. There was a huuuuuuge filed over the back of the street we lived on, and we called it “the car graveyard” because every day and night, the local gang would steal a car and light it on fire to watch it burn and explode. They would then throw them into the huge ravine that encircled the whole field. It was…super rough down there 😂 Edit: apparently it’s even worse now, last video or news I saw come out of my hometown was of the entire police force trying to control a huge mob, there were kids no older than 10 with machetes and poles. They were ALL (adults and kids) stealing cars, deliberately running people over and into peoples houses. Bricking and smashing up police cars. The police didn’t have a leg to stand on, this mob pushed the police back and forced them to retreat. It’s bad down there, I’m so glad we moved.

The 2 most notorious gangs in Birmingham (englands second biggest city) these days are "The burger bar boys" and "The Johnsons" They made the news back in 2003 in connection to the murders of Charlene Ellis and Letisha Shakespeare. It was a drive by attempt on the rival gang with Mach 10 machine guns, unfortunately the 2 girls were caught by stray bullets and didn't survive.. I have had dealings with both gangs, i used to work in a club on John bright street (just behind New street station) One night, the johnsons came to the club and our doormen bounced them back, due to their clothing choice. While the johnsons were trying to argue their case to be let in, the Burger bar boys happened to drive past and decided to open fire. Luckily our doors had thick metal plates in them so only a few bullets made it through the gap in the open door and embedded into the walls. The johnsons bolted through the club, i was inside and just said "The back door is that direction, dont stop, just go through, you can get back to the main road from there" then the burger bar boys jumped out the car, and chased after them, so again i said "They took the back door, which is that way, don't stop, just go through and it will lead out onto the main road" They ran through the club and after the last one left we shut the doors and locked them and we watched from the upper balcony. Once they left the area, we unlocked the doors and kicked everyone out and shut the club down for the night..

I've also had dealing with the Yardies (jamaican gang found all up n down the country) Someone i knew got in trouble with them and came to my place to try to hide, which i did not allow (i dont want to get involved with yardies) So i told him to leave, by going over my back garden fence. Next thing i know Yardies were on my front door, so i told them straight "I want nothing to do with this, i let him in the house, but told him to leave, he went over the back fence, by all means go ahead and follow" So they did, i let them out the back door and the chased after him. Next morning the same guys knocked on my front door, i was fairly shocked as you could imagine. But they just came to say thanks for not getting involved and letting them go though the house after the guy. and "compensated" me with a bottle of jamaican rum. We ended up having breakfast and chatting for about an hour. Really nice guys to be fair, just dont cross them and you are fine.

In Town or even on the Streets especially on a Friday or Saturday night its not unusual to see gangs of 20 to 30+ some with a few rowdy girls but mostly boys walking round or hanging about on the streets and alleys. If you can walk past without them shouting something or all running over the road you are lucky. I got a lot of stories of run ins with gangs round my way. Big gang fights or even 4 or 5 of us vs 25 boys with weapons happened a few times. One night in Kings Farm one of the worst estates 50 of us at a Party and 40 travellers and Gypsys running down the road throwing glass bottles at the house turned into a big fight people getting stabbed next to me then the police raided the place broke in the front door. Jaywalking was invented in the USA to blame the pedestrian for causing an accident when they get knocked down by a motorist , which other countries, including The UK, (not including Ireland & Northern Ireland, as Jaywalking is also illegal), as well as Canada, where the motorist is responsible for Knocking down a Pedestrian, (except on Motorways & Highways, where it is illegal for pedestrians to either walk along or cross):- Jaywalking is the act of pedestrians walking in or crossing a roadway if that act contravenes traffic regulations. The term originated in the United States as a derivation of the phrase jay-drivers (the word jay meaning 'a greenhorn, or rube'), people who drove horse-drawn carriages and automobiles on the wrong side of the road, before taking its current meaning. Jaywalking was coined as the automobile arrived in the street in the context of the conflict between pedestrian and automobiles (also then known as horseless carriages), more specifically the nascent automobile industry. Jaywalking laws vary widely by jurisdiction. Origin of the term While jaywalking is associated with pedestrians today, the earliest references to "jay" behavior in the street were about horse-drawn carriages and automobiles in 1905 Kansas: "jay drivers" who did not drive on the correct side of the street. The term swiftly expanded to pedestrians, and by 1909, The Chanute Daily Tribune warned "The jay walker needs attention as well as the jay driver, and is about as big a nuisance." No historical evidence supports an alternative folk etymology by which the word is traced to either the letter "J" (characterizing the route a jaywalker might follow), or "jake walk" (an early term related to a drunkard's walk). The earliest citation in the Oxford English Dictionary follows in 1917. Automobile interests in the US took up the cause of labeling and scorning jaywalkers in the 1910s and early 1920s, by then the earlier term of "jay driver" was declining in use. The word was promoted by pro-automobile interests in the 1920s, according to historian and alternative transportation advocate Peter D. Norton. Today, in the US, the word is often used synonymously with its current legal definition, crossing the street illegally. Originally in the US, the legal rule was that "all persons have an equal right in the highway, and that in exercising the right each shall take due care not to injure other users of the way". In time, however, streets became the province of vehicular traffic, both practically and legally. In many countries such as the United Kingdom, the word is not generally used and with the exception of certain high-speed roads, there are no laws limiting how pedestrians can use public highways. This has caused confusion among British people visiting countries with such laws, with the BBC reporting on a case where a man from the UK was arrested in the U.S. city of Atlanta for crossing the road. Legal texts in other countries use different concepts, such as Rules applicable to pedestrians in the Vienna Convention on Road Traffic. One member of this convention, the United Kingdom, does not have jaywalking laws; its Highway Code relies on the pedestrians making their own judgment on whether it is safe to cross based on the Green Cross Code. In many European countries, pedestrians are banned from high speed roads such as motorways or expressways, but they are generally permitted on regular rural and urban roads. That is done in compliance with the Vienna Convention on Road Traffic, which also contains concepts addressing the question of the usage of the road or street by pedestrians for walking or crossing. Some countries like Ireland do not comply with the convention as rigorously as others. Laws and traditions vary from country to country. The UK In England, Wales and Scotland (Great Britain) it is not illegal to cross or walk on all roads except motorways (where pedestrians and slow vehicles are not permitted), and roads with the "No Pedestrians" sign displayed. The Highway Code contains rules for crossing a road safely, but these are recommendations and not legally directly enforceable, though branches of the highway code may be used as supporting evidence in prosecutions. As with other advisory parts of the Highway Code compliance and non-compliance can be used to claim/counterclaim/defend against liability in civil law claims such as insurance claims. The term "jaywalking" is obscure. There is no law preventing such an act. Culturally, "jaywalking" often confuses British citizens abroad and visitors to the UK. British citizens, like citizens from other countries where it is not an offence, are more prone to infringe jaywalking laws abroad. Transport for London identified tourists visiting London as being particularly vulnerable due to the personal assessment of risk expected of all pedestrians who cross roads. Some tourists copy locals' most risky crossing stunts, falsely assuming there was no advanced risk assessment involved or a higher right-of-way to vehicles, without understanding they have less right-of-way in all but a few places and times. A third reason is that many visitors are not used to all traffic driving on the left. Recent changes to the Highway code have given priority to pedestrians waiting to cross a road. When crossing, pedestrians are expected to use their judgement and wait until it is safe to cross. Under Rule 170 of the Highway Code, if a pedestrian is waiting to cross or has already started crossing the road (from either side) across a side street into which a car is about to turn, vehicles should always give way and let them leave the road safely. (Prior to January 2022 this only applied for pedestrians who had already started to cross the road). In UK schools children are taught to cross roads safely through the Green Cross Code. British children are taught to "Stop, Look and Listen" before crossing a road, as demonstrated in the Think! campaign. Unlike the rest of the UK, in Northern Ireland jaywalking is an offence. This is through article 38 of the Road Traffic (Northern Ireland) Order 1995, which states "If a pedestrian through his own negligence on a road endangers his own safety, or that of any other person, he is guilty of an offence." In both 2005 and 2006, hundreds of fines were issued for jaywalking, however from 2018 onways this had reduced to approximately 50 per year. Ireland Ireland maintains a jaywalking law, which requires a pedestrian to use a pedestrian crossing if they are within 15 metres (49 ft) of one. When crossing a road, pedestrians are advised to wait until it is safe to cross. Vehicles should give way to the pedestrian who uses a zebra crossing. Irish children are taught the Road Safety Authority safe cross code in schools where it teaches them to stop, listen, and look out for any incoming traffic whilst crossing a road and only cross a road if safe to do so. It also advises them to use traffic lights and zebra crossings to cross a road rather than jaywalk. The Garda Síochána usually do not take action on jaywalkers unless they caused possible harm to drivers or others. Canada Jaywalking is not in the Criminal Code and is not considered a criminal offence in Canada. No law on jaywalking exists at the federal level, although several provinces and territories in Canada, as well as municipalities, have enacted regulations and/or by-laws that restrict when a pedestrian may cross a roadway. Most of these provincial regulations and municipal by-laws do not use the term jaywalking to describe when a pedestrian unlawfully crosses a roadway. Although provincial regulations and municipal by-laws on crossing a motorway exist, its enforcement remains extremely rare. United States State road rules in the United States usually require a driver to yield the right of way to a pedestrian crossing a road when the pedestrian crosses at a marked crosswalk or an unmarked crosswalk. Unmarked crosswalks generally exist as the logical extensions of sidewalks at intersections with approximately right angles. Following the Uniform Vehicle Code, state codes often do not prohibit a pedestrian from crossing a roadway between intersections if at least one of the two adjacent intersections is not controlled by a signal, but they stipulate that a pedestrian not at a crosswalk must yield the right of way to approaching drivers. State codes often permit pedestrians to use roads that are not controlled access facilities and without sidewalks but such use is usually regulated. Jaywalking is considered an infraction, but in some jurisdictions, it is a misdemeanor or requires a court appearance. The penalty is usually a fine. 🤔

Sheffield was knicknamed 'Little Chicago' at one-point, and they had to bring in the newly formed Flying Squad it got that bad. They didn't mention the Garvin's involvement with the Mooney's and also Sky Edge, Park Hill, Pitch and Toss (gambling game that is still played today, also penny up wall which kinda came from it and normally played at school) etc. If you've watched Peaky Blinders you'll have heard bits about it. Gotta love my cities colourful past, also has the oldest football club in the world SFC (that is a different kinda gang mentality, they would be the OCS and BBC nowadays (BBC not to be confused with the TV company). The 80's and 90's were mental aswell, I started coming up around 96 when I was about 11-12.

There are notorious groups including Chapters of the 1 percent biker clubs the Warlocks the Pagans and The Hells Angels. When the Noonans where active it was not unusual in manchester for drug dealers to be murdered in the streets in broad daylight. Children on their bikes being used to courier drugs through moss side and other areas of the city. As to the Bestwood Cartel their members have been known to commit rape however they are so dangerous the police advise victims to not report the offence. This one about the Bestwood Cartel is not a rumour it is from a first hand account by one of their victims.
