I think the joke in the Sainsbury's one is that the boy became Father Christmas. Hence the red hat and reindeer, and leaving to live in a frozen wasteland. 🙂

Us legal system and Bill of Rights is based on 12 th century English legal ideals and our system as most modern Western systems are based on the Ancient Greek law makers and philosophers

Innocent until proven guilty comes from the original English law code right back to king Henry ii, he died in 1190 . Where do you think that principle of law came from to USA... English common law

US has a common law legal system that is derived from English Common Law. Presumption of innocence is an English Common Law principle that you inherited from us.

The Sainsbury’s one was set in 1869 as it was their 150th anniversary. This years John Lewis ad isn’t their best but that boy has cool answer when people ask ‘who was your first kiss?’

I actually like the John Lewis 2021 Christmas Ad, with so many people living 'virtual lives' during the pandemic. It's how we live our lives - It's saying 'wherever you are' in the World/Universe, we can all be together and celebrate. I also like the Tesco, Aldi and numerous other Christmas Ad's. Christmas is Christmas, I'm not religious - and the message in all the Ads is celebrate the Christmas season, whether near or far.

What it proves is that the big stores can spend fortunes on Christmas adverts for the gullible shoppers and we will lap it up every time. Although I think the older you become the more cynical it all becomes. I wish I was young again and had comic annuals and pillow cases full of presents and no idea that it all costs money we don't have. Bar Humbug.

Just because we lap it up, doesn't mean we spend more with them. Don't think I've ever spent anything in John Lewis and the last time I went into an ALDI or Sainsburys was years ago.
