The guy who played Colin also played Richard (the slightly weird person) in the Invetweeners movie

You should do one on episode 3 of this series, has one of the funniest scenes in it involving Spud and his brother trying to use a crane to knock a colleague's hat off for a joke and ended up knocking him in the water. 🤣🤣🤣 I'm from South London. Not Bermondsey, but not far away. So this show was relatable. Really want season 2.

The old ruined house has gone. The site is now Millwall Football Ground - Danny's team.

Danny Baker may well have been able to do a deal to get Stairway To Heaven included due to him being mates with the band, and as told in his book, he was once an "official" member of Led Zeppelin for 25 minutes! It's also an urban myth that Danny killed Bob Marley....
@jonathancole8332 жыл бұрын
I think that the myth relates to a football match in which the two participated!

Enjoyed that, new to me. Peter's cockney accent is a bit off though. Cor blimey!

Danny Baker is a very interesting character, and friends with Peter Kay. He came out of the 1970s punk movement, although he subsequently denounced much of it. Coming from a South London working-class background, he has often been in conflict with more middle-class, politically correct colleagues at the BBC. Whenever he has been fired by the BBC, he has taken to the airwaves and delivered some legendary rants against his employers!

I watched this at the time and enjoyed it; it had a similar vibe to a show called The Grimleys which was out before this.

This was a great series! Shame it only got the one really, but it's a little bit of a hidden gem. I've been listening to Danny for years, and his recounting of the Hair incident is always funny! The Dockers were legendary for lifting stuff out of ths ships either on their way in or way out.

Since Peter kays reviving some of his stuff like max and paddy etc hopefully maybe we can get another series of this as well

There's a bit of noise to clear through from Danny I suspect that will stop this getting a second series.

Kinda remember seeing maybe one episode of this when i was at my friends place it was just on background so i mostly ignored it. Now that ive seen one episode full and watched it without interuptions would like to see more. Since this is short series you could do a binge on this like you did with Young ones series 1.

Danny Baker's Radio London show was so funny and he could be a great guy. One time one of his co-hosts was axed because of BBC spending cuts, the management arguing they were superfluous to the show, so he rehired them at his own expense. He could also be a real prick and his own worst enemy. I suspect he posted that picture because he could see the joke and didn't consider the broader issue, rather than it being an intentionally racist comment, but it was obviously unacceptable and the BBC had little choice but to give him the heave-ho.

I can't believe he didn't consider the outcome of publishing that picture he knew the joke but publishing it was professional suicide...
