Great Reaction, as usual, Favour :)To put some context into some of these: John Lewes is one of the largest stores. In the "Keep singing 6/1 " chant. That is Man United fans chanting to their Arch Rivals: Manchester City as City did beat United 6/1 but then United countered that with the fact that Man City played 6 Champions League games in THE major European competition " and could not win one". :) When the lights went out that was Man United fans and they were The Away team that night in London. The "Fire Drill" chant is directed at the Home fans who have lost the game so some are leaving as if there really was a fire drill....lol

For the “City is yours...” It’s Manchester United fans singing to Manchester City fans at Manchester United’s Stadium, Old Trafford. The Man City fans are away from home, so the United fans are singing towards the away end. The Man Utd fans are referring to Man City being known as a team to have thousands of empty seats. They are both in the same city, meaning they’re rivals. Sets of rival fans tend to say the city is ‘theirs’ if they’re successful or have won the Derby (when both teams play eachother). Vague explanation but yeah.

@@Isaacmcr14 True but they often have average only 90% of the seats full and that's by official stats given by the club which are massively disputed by greater manchester police and just obviously false just by looking at the stadium. They often average around 10,000 empty seats which is around 20% of their ground. Probably where is comes from as clubs like man utd and liverpool average over 99% every week and man utd average around 99.9% despite a capacity almost 50% higher. So the chant is exaggerated but comes out of truth.
@Isaacmcr14
@Isaacmcr14 3 жыл бұрын
@@ryancolby966 as an actual city season ticket holder myself (if u can’t tell by my profile picture) I can tell u first hand that we do not average 10,000 empty seats per game at all. What happens is that people like sky sports and opposing fans show the stadiums at half time and pre-match so obviously not everyone is in their seats. We also get fucked around by the league and when we play away as they have more recently put our ticket prices up higher as we’re the biggest team in the league atm. All I can really say I guess is see for yourself if u come to our ground, we’ve got a great support actually and it’s getting better as this season we’re having safe standing in the south stand lower.

I guess your used to fans of opposing teams sitting with each other at games but we don't do that here. At the home teams stadium there's usually a small section that's just for away fans exclusively and the rest is all exclusively for the home fans. This offlten results in banter and chants and insults from one section to the other and the more local teams are to each other, the more intense the rivalry I think you'll like limbs, limbs is when fans go crazy at a really important goal, normally scored right at the end of a game kzbin.info/www/bejne/d3PYgayZabGtqsk

I feel like the fact she's (your) missing is that in England as it's so much smaller that every match has both home and away fans. So most of these are the home/away fans chanting at each other, therefore creating that much more atmosphere! (As you can afford to travel the length of the country for a match as Newcastle to Southampton is only like 300miles)

3:45 The chants are very template based and are normally to the same few tunes with lyrics only a sentence or two long that loop over. Once you hear a few bars they're easy to pick up. There can be more complex ones but they generally have just spread over time and become well known.

You usually can't hear the chanting that much when the games are being broadcasted on tv cause the broadcasters try to minimise crowd sound so you can only hear the crowd clearly if they are really loud or there is a goal.

0:57 if I remember correctly. their stadium's power went out yes, and they made a song about it, but it is not something that happens a lot. it is extremely rare that it happens. 1:41 don't let leeds or manutd fans hear you say that, they hate each other XD 2:16 smaller clubs/teams have stadiums like that, some even smaller stadiums even. A budgie is a bird. 3:08 they are playing against their rivals, and they are from the same city. so it's manchester united vs manchester city. And they have a feud on wether manchester is red or blue. Manchester city fans claiming manchester is blue (their city) and hte manchester united fans are singing about how that is bullshit cause there's no city fans to be seen (20 thousand empty seats) 3:52 some songs are just very well known that everyone knows that is sung a lot. songs made up on the spot is usually a small group of people and then more and more people join in. 4:21 There's no friendly neighborhood in football. :p 5:11 no they are winning. Leeds fans are being sarcastic. Hull City is also known as "The Tigers". and leeds beat them and well are being sarcastic about the whole thing 5:42 I think they just think his name sounds like the name of a shop 7:00 Yep pretty much, but there's also some sarcasm to it i think, This was surprising win as well tho cause on paper chelsea is a much better team. 8:36 coloccini and a lot of other players gets a song like that. or similar. 11:57 yeah pretty much, people who leave early during a match are often seen as "not real fans"

Budgerigar. A popular pet bird. Typically shortened to "budgie". Also a great early hard rock/heavy metal band from Wales. Riffs for days. Football chants are contagious. Standard tunes are used, so they're easy to follow, once you hear the words. John Lewis is a shop, yes. When football matches are on TV, you can't exactly make out the chants because of the placement of the microphones to catch the action on the field and not in the stands. The chants of either side tend to cancel each other out during broadcasts.

Favour, I can fully understand why you would be put off soccer reactions with the comments on your last video. I think some people were just frustrated that you understood it the least- -But that isn't even your fault because you're not from a footballing country. And personally I think an American coming from their type of sports leagues and seeing another country(s) league systems it CAN be a little complicated at first. (Im British, and i didn't really understand it until i was actually 'into' it.) I think you just got confused about the whole National teams / club teams / league system things and how they are sometimes different from each other. And how the World Cup IS THE BIGGEST competition, BUT it's only for COUNTRY VS COUNTRY. and football CLUBS (club not being a national team, but a normal football team) have other competitions and leagues, . I think if you'd known just ONE or TWO things more clearly people wouldn't be hating.(Which they shouldn't anyway) Either way, it would suck to totally drop any football(soccer) reactions because of dumb comments. You gotta ignore the haters. and if it's any consolation, -if you think someone is hating on you in comments, but they're from the UK, they MIGHT just be having some banter, and not trying to actually cause offence, it's quite possible. Hope to see more videos either way. It's always interesting to see a person from another country reacting to shit from your country or continent.

You’re free to curse at these sort of games all you want but when it comes to racist chants there’s a 3 step policy towards it: Step 1: An announcement goes over the tannoy to tell the fans to stop chanting. Step 2: The fans making the chants get kicked out. Step 3: If it’s still going on, the game is stopped, the players walk off the pitch and the match is abandoned. Don’t know if anything like that exists in America but if there isn’t there should be.

Our English fans will take the piss out of: -their own team -the players -the opposite teams -anybody in the stands -any TV channel that is filming the game Our English fans will chant: -in the stadium -in a pub -out in the streets -in the coaches

Ok i think she thinks that there is only 1 football club for each country... I think that is why she got confused in the 4 simple steps for EU soccer video. Every country has multiple football teams... but each country only has ONE national football team. For example England has a bunch of football clubs in it, they all play against eachother in the leagues and cups, but usually the best ENGLISH players from all those teams come together to create the NATIONAL ENGLAND team, and THEY compete against, for example, the FRENCH national football team (which is made up of the best french players) in the WORLD CUP. But international football when it's country vs country, is likely NOT what you're seeing in the video. This is likely football clubs within England facing against eachother

The fan rivalries are true - Arsenal hate Spurs and vice versa; Man City/Man Utd 🤐🤐no comment needed - all footie teams have a rival team and the swearing, chanting, cursing and vitriolic abuse is real .... but after 90mins the football supporters - dry of mouth and knackered - go home to their wives and kids and carry on with their lives, it’s a form of escapism and a way of getting things off yiur chest - the next door neighbour might support the rival team but no one bothers...it only matters when you are in YOUR football ground supporting YOUR team. Some of the chants are funny and very sarcastically witty. There are no football crowds in grounds atm due to Covid and hearing the “voice over dubs” on televised matches is very very dull and predictable!

They don't have a PDF or fuck all 🤣🤣🤣 they just hear what the people are shouting and start shouting it. Manchester united were playing their local rivals [Manchester fucking city] and City have shit fans. Both teams' fans always compete on whether out City is blue or red. Definitely Red. 🔴🔴

All of the fans are different. Some are more serious than others. With me... I expect to sit back relax and turn off my brain for two hours... Sure. I'll shout at the screen. But it's good quality entertainment. A lot of the best British stuff is really just improvised. Mostly someone shouting something and everyone nearby copies him or her. Also. a Budgie is a pet bird. Its also a slang term.

A blue means a tory, which is someone who votes for the conservative party (popular for the middle-upper classes). The conservative party are extremely unpopular in working class areas because they advocate for things like removing free school meals for children in extreme poverty.

Manchester United were, for many years the best team in Manchester and lauded it over Manchester City but City came into some money a while ago and have got good and overtaken United in terms of quality so the City fans were singing "The City is ours ,the City is ours, you're fucking finished, the City is ours!" but United fans responded with this.

It was, Manchester United against Manchester City. They're making fun of them because Manchester City has so many empty seats. The United fans were saying that Manchester supports them rather than City at the Manchester Derby.

They aren’t slagging their own fans off their is a home and away section in every football stadium. The away team get about 20% off the seats in the home teams stadium. So they slag each other off when they sing especially if it’s a derby (two teams that hate each other or that are close to each other.)
