We are not obsessed with the royal family for the same reason we are not obsessed with the air. We take them for granted.

You don't need to ask a stranger on the bus to move. Before your stop, you move your bag or adjust your coat and that signals that you want to get off. The other person will, without a word, stand up to let you off.

This lady hasn't posted for some time. Its quite London centric, because that's where she was living. Our food is great, you'll love it! You guys are far more obsessed with The Royal Family and Harry Potter than we are.

In the UK, there are so many different accents that, if you drove just 30 miles, you could hear about four different accents. Also, each area will have its own different name for many common objects such as a bread roll - they could call it a roll, a cob, a bap, a stottie, etc...

She's clearly in the south of England where people are far less friendly. I live further north I have sat on a tram full of strangers who all joined in giving examples of there worst dad jokes. If I go for a walk where I live everyone you pass with probably smile, say hello or comment on the weather.

Of course where you live is much friendlier, I live in East London is friendly most places are in London except the tourist parts but I wish folk would drop this rubbish about post code friendliness tis what the powers to be want as we are less powerful etc also just rude

@@MrsMillwall I agree working class Londoners are just as friendly as we northerners. Sad thing is that all of London is so expensive now that middle class "gentrification" means the real people of London are being pushed out

I have to admit she was accurate about practically everything she said. Londoner of which I am one tend to be less friendly than people up north, yes you can get 4 seasons in one day and everyone takes their top off immediately the sun comes out.

That is right, I am a Londoner born in 1964 and once was proud to be a Londoner, but since Sadiq Khan became the mayor of London and the floodgates opened up and he allowed hundreds of thousands of migrants, illegal immigrants and so called refugees. Glad we moved to Hertfordshire in 1968. 💂♂️🇬🇧🏴🇮🇪

We aren't all unfriendly in the south. In London if I've needed help the station staff or people who look like they listen to heavy metal are the most open and friendly

You want to hear our insults. We can tear people down with uttering a curse word. But in the same breath, if we like you, we'll greet you with an insult. It's a strange one, but it's banter. It's when we go quiet you should be worried.

Isn't this video maker lovely - she makes me laugh so, but most of what she says is true. I came to London for the first time, from my village, many years ago. My jaw was permanently dropped for the first few days at all the sights. I walked so slowly compare to the crowds around me that I seemed to be in the way of everyone. When I finished reading my paper whilst on the tube I offered it to the person sitting next to me - they looked at me as if I'd come from outer space. Never did it again. A new job there and a few weeks later I walked with the crowd. London is one of the worlds biggest tourist destinations so most of the people you interact with will be tourists, and many will not speak English - so interacting with so called 'Londoners' will be hard for you ... and for them too I suppose. Enjoyed this reaction again Island Girl. Glad your daughter is really on the mend. Love from the UK xxx
