Thank you for your wonderful reaction to Forestella again! This was their version of Shape of you first performed for Phantom Singer All Stars (I'll say PSAS) in JTBC which invited all the Phantom Singer finalists groups (season 1~3) and had competitions amongst them. PSAS could be held because covid made every concert canceled. (Usually, any of 9 groups couldn't attend busy for their own concert..) They had to film the show with a few celeb guests and the competitors on the site, and online audience only due to covid situation. Forestella wanted the audience to feel a world trip vibe that couldn't have due to the covid situation at that time, so they sang it in 3 different languages - English, Spanish, and African Zulu. This song got a great hit and brought many new fans into SoopByeol; 숲Soop means forest and 별Byeol means star, the same as Forestella,which is forest and stella (star in Italian).

Forestella are so creative hope they get more popular. 2 are opera singers and 1 is musical and the other was in rock band in university. The versatility is amazing Woorim is a bass really rare bass at that Mingyu is soprano Hyung ho is counter tenor Dohoon is a tenor They know how to blend their different unique voices together ❤

Glad you're following Forestella. Another good reaction. Despacito is another very dancey cover they do. They also sing very well in French (apparently a better accent than Dimash's) as in Je Suis Malade. Their Italian songs are great too, eg Nella Fantasia and Parla Piu Piano. If you want to see good uses of Woo Rim's great bass voice try Bad Romance, Sweet Dreams and Legends Never Die.

Great version, appeals to me much more than the original. Extremely successful fusion of different genres, styles and vocal techniques. Especially in the explosive final third, when everything spirals higher and higher. I love these guys for their creativity and versatility.

Hello! Fans of Forestella are called “Sopbyeol”. Koreans write their last name first, so if you want to call them by their first name, it would be Woorim for the base, Hyungho for the counter tenor (high and rock voice), Mingyu for the other tenor (the one who starts the Spanish section), and Doohoon as the baritone/tenor. Fantastic singers each in their own right (you must also watch their solos), then when put together, the best harmonizers! Mingyu has sung in up to 12 languages, he speaks English and Spanish quite well. Woorim is an opera singer and has to learn French and Italian as part of his training but not sure he speaks those languages. Hyungho is a chemical engineer so I assume he had to do some of his training in English but we never hear him speak English. Mingyu is the one who usually speaks in English during the concerts. How about “Time in a bottle” next?

Actually, Hyungho as his rock personna PITTA, does speak some English. :) Mingyu speaks so many languages but he's proven himself quite fluent in English. Woorim is currently doing his 18 month stint in the Army. He sings in the Korean Army Band and is especially showing up with ceremonies including the National Anthem. And Doohoon speaks some English too. All four can sing in several languages and they are especially fluent in Spanish...listen to Despacito! Their perfect pronunciation stunned even the Spanish!!

Hi there, just for info korean names have surname first so the names you mentioned were their last names. Full names are Ko WOORIM, Cho MINGYU, Kang HYUNG HO and Bae DOO HOON

Mingyu speaks English fairly well (Woorim isn’t quite as proficient). Woorim and Mingyu are trained opera singers, so they learn to sing different languages phonetically. All four of them are amazing mimics and can really pick up the accents well. They always amaze me.

Nesta interpretação em especial eles cantam em INGLÊS, ESPANHOL E ZULU( lingua africana) Forestella tem registros em 8 idomas, russo, alemao, frances, italiano, espanhol, ingles, latim e o zulu. Woorim fala francês... li a respeito em algum lugar .. Mingyu é poliglota... ele realmente fala muitos idiomas e tem registros cantando em muitos idiomas tambem. Bae e Hyung ( Pitta como muitos o chamam ) eles nao sei lhe dizer se sao poliglotas ou so aprenderam para cantar as músicas...
