Hello, usually i don't care about reaction stuff, but here it's different. i haven't realized how much history is important before getting older 😉. I will help you and try to answer to your questions the best i can, you have my support 😊. I saw your video about Japan anf i can advise you to check out the channel "the shogunate". Also maybe the metatron, it's not really about battles but he's talking about tactics in the middle ages and about Roman history 😉.

I've always been interested in the formation of the USA. It's funny to think the Founding Fathers viewed themselves as the true patriotic British and the Crown's government as the enemies of British liberty. One of the main goals of the Founding Fathers post-war was to establish an identity of their own. They decided on "Colombia" as a name for the new nation, and called themselves Colombians. But then another South American nation went and called themselves Colombia first!

People think Arabic numbers were Arabic because it was Arabic traders that first brought them to Europe from India. Zero, and it's counterpart Infinity, aren't numbers, they're mathematical concepts that basically didn't exist in the West. This influx of mathematical ideas allowed science and engineering to absolutely explode in Europe.

You asked about the Aryan invasion theory. The word "Aryan" has an extremely complicared and, to some degree, controversial history. It comes from ancient Sanskrit literature, like the Hindu scriptures, the Vedas, meaning something like "noble people" and referring to the ancient Hindus. As in the video, it is also the name of a group of Indian languages, including Sanskrit, which are related to Persian, and to Latin and Greek, and most European languages, all in a family now called Indo-European languages. The other major language group in India, the Dravidian languages, are from a different family altogether. It has long been theorised that this split between two different language groups was because an ancient group, the Aryans, from central Asia, invaded India in prehistoric times and imposed their culture on it, so the Dravidian languages are of those of the natives who were invaded. This theory originated or first flourished in the deeply racist origins of anthropology in the 19th C and the extent to which it is totally true, partly true or not at all true has been debated ever since. Also, of course, there is a strong tradition in European racism which considers Aryans to be a seperate race, the original of "pure" European culture. Hitler and the Nazis considered themselves Aryans, which is partly why they appropriated the swastika, which was originally a Hindu symbol, for their flag.

I don't know about tornado, but I think there is a big difference between the US Midwest and the Deccan Plateau. The Midwest is a flat land irrigated by a huge river and its tributaries. Because of that, it has the most fertile and easy to cultivate lands, making it the center of agricultural production. The plains in the north of India would be a better equivalent in this respect. The Deccan Plateau is well... A plateau, somewhat isolated from sea connection by the mountain ranges that define its limits...

India (I seem to remember, I was very young at the time) was the head of the non-aligned movement of nations who refused to take sides during the cold war and I think this was the reason why they had a fraught relationship with the US (under President Nixon) who had a reproachment with China - an initiative they called _détante_ .

On the subject of History .. you should really do a video / study on British Kings and Queens because that is rather tricky to follow and it would link in well with your interest with Geography .. plus follow the History of the First World War .. because how that history came about was very interesting too ... oh yeah` check the history and search for the truth about Princess which was very interesting.

Wow. He rattled through a lot of stuff. He didn't talk about the climate, including the annual monsoon season, which has quite a profound effect on the affairs of India. Flooding, erosion, the crop planting cycles. The British were the first to complete a major survey of the place in the 19th C. There is a neat little book called The Great Arc by John Keay which outlines the endeavour. When they were finishing off along the northern boundaries, they took remote observations of the peaks which lay in the inaccessible countries of Nepal and Tibet. That's when they found that the Himalayas were higher than the Andes in S. America. The highest peak was named Everest in honour of the surveyor general who had done so much of the work across India. One of the justifications for British imperialism is that India was left a functioning civil service and a network of railways. These have both helped to hold the country together since independence. There were fears that it would fall apart completely. As it was it was, just the Muslim areas of West and East Pakistan split away. ( now renamed Pakistan and Bangladesh after a war in the 60s.) Here in UK Indian foods are very popular, with plenty of Indian restaurants, though real Indian people say European Indian isn't the same as real Indian food. The menus have symbols to tell you how hot the curries are. At the mild end are Kormas, towards the hot end you get Vindaloos. They seem to be popular to round off a night in the pub, and there is a macho urge to take the hottest on offer. I only go for the milder ones. Plenty to learn from these vids. I wouldn't normally chase them out, but it's good to share the experience, and get taken in new directions.

"When you wake up in the morning, tell yourself: the people I deal with today will be meddling, ungrateful, arrogant, dishonest, jealous and surly. They are like this because they can't tell good from evil. But I have seen the beauty of good, and the ugliness of evil, and have recognized that the wrongdoer has a nature related to my own - not of the same blood and birth, but the same mind, and possessing a share of the divine. And so none of them can hurt me. No one can implicate me in ugliness. Nor can I feel angry at my relative, or hate him. We were born to work together like feet, hands and eyes, like the two rows of teeth, upper and lower. To obstruct each other is unnatural. To feel anger at someone, to turn your back on him: these are unnatural" -Chadus Aurelius

Hi SoGal. Hope you are well and keeping out of the cold. You were asking about the enclave / exclave issue on the Indian sub continent. I don't pretend to understand it but there were a number of very strange agreements that saw very small parts of India, Pakistan and Bangladesh left within one another. The map men (I know you like them) do a video in exactly this subject. Also, when this video states that the partition was handled badly he is correct. Even today, we have had a youngster forbidden from playing cricket (at a very low level) by his family because someone else plays who is from a different religious background. Both families suffered badly during partition. Again, I don't understand it at all - it's just a shame.
