Bittersweet watching so many old Scarlets and Wales clips here compared to what we have now! Jonathan Davies (or Foxy) was an absolute phenomenon, easily the best 13 in world rugby across a lot of the 2010s. He had a proper edge to him too - the try where he cut through 4 Ireland players was the decisive one in our 2011 World Cup Quarter Final. The day before the Irish press had published this: “13 is where Ireland have a massive advantage. Davies must be the most limited outside centre at RWC2011. In defence he shoots up in a skewed version of the famed Wasps defence Warren Gatland loves but he lacks the dexterity and flat out pace of his opposite man, Brian O’Driscoll. He also lacks the symbiotic partnership with his partner Roberts that O’Driscoll has with Gordon D’Arcy. It is his distribution that will affect Wales most. Contrast that to our two in midfield - as the Welsh don’t overcommit to the breakdown I expect turnovers. Davies plays rugby by numbers and fails to create any opportunities for his outside backs”. … and then he knocked them out of the tournament!

Jonathan Davies was extremely underrated. I’m not a Wales fan but I think he was better then BOD. If you had Nonu + Davies as your centre pairing, absolutely deadly.

Davies had what is called a 'shotgun fend' his partnership with Dr Jamie Roberts was a big part of Wales success in thec2010's

if your looking for more great welsh players id say warburton taulupe faletau and alun wyn jones most capped rugby players wales have produced majority of the british and irish lions players in 13,17 and 21 just an interesting fact they've fallen off over the past few years due to financial issues also theres a video that has a guy named paul thornburn who kicked a 70 m goal with those hard old school balls
