Before I always felt frustrated that these great Filipino artists are not well known in the US but now I feel bad for the people there because they were fed with overrated artists with mediocre talents. I stopped listening to mainstream artists after discovering Morissette. She just set the bar so high for me that I no longer get impressed by other artists anymore. Thanks for this reaction my good sir. You just barely scratched the surface of this generational talent and quite possibly one of the best if not the best vocalist on the planet right now. Next, try her cover of Andra Day's "Rise Up" on the wish bus. Guaranteed to blow your mind. That performance was so phenomenal that KZbin took it down because it's gotten way more views than the original. They reuploaded it but KZbin took it down again because it still has gotten way more views. If KZbin didn't take it down, it could've gotten 500million views by now , possibly to a billion.

Morissette has Never had any formal voice training. She learned early on from her dad t who was a musician then picked up things from doing shows as she went along.

I like to think that she is Philippines trained. Everything from karaoke, stage, Broadway, pop, classics ... she does them all and mostly live. Even sitting on her bed playing keys and singing like an angel. Just having fun is the best description I can offer

I have 2 favorite female vocalists. Mori is one, and the singer from the band Babymetal is my other favorite. I don't know if you know Babymetal, since you mentioned kpop, but Babymetal is more of a JPop/metal fusion. I'd love to see your reaction to them. I'd recommend Monochrome, Shine, and Headbanger. Also with Babymetal, I ALWAYS recommend watching them live as that is where they shine brightest!

Oh yes there are More ;-) First for Morissete you should also take a look on her Andra Day cover of "Rise Up" and of the disney Aladin Song Duett "A Whole new World" to also see Darren Espanto. And to see another Side of Morrisette "Could You be messiah" the One Take version. After that You could take a look at Her Pop Song "Throwback" featuring KZ Tandingan. And then coming to KZ Tandingan there are a bunch of great Live Performances in the Singer 2018 Show from China where she was competing with some chinese artits and Jessie J. My suggested Order of her performances: "Say something", "Anak" (to the children), "Rolling in the Deep" and maybe then switch to the wish Bus with some of her own songs "Impossibile" and "Nag iisa Na Naman" ... and for one more Suggestion a brother and sister Duett of EZ Mil and Raynn performing "Storm" on Wish Bus USA. Yes a great list, but also a great Rabbit Hole ;-) Sorry for maybe not so good english ... as I am German 😀

Hans can you also please check out ALAMAT? I feel like they're the PPop group with one of the best discographies, and their main vocals are much stronger in the R&B sound. I think you'd love them!! Also, they famously abolished the "visual" position because they believe that Filipino beauty standards must be diverse, in fact one of their members is half-Black American. Their song Maharani (great queen) features BINI Jhoanna in the MV. I also really love Dayang, and they have studio session vlogs for each song recording. So getting to hear their raw vocals during rehearsal and the recording in the booth is AMAZING.
