I often thought about it but now I just say it. If you want to come to germany you can stay in my house for free. Me (36) and my wife (27) are living in Großkarolinenfeld in Bavaria and are watching your videos for quite a while now. Großkarolinenfeld is only like 30 minutes away from Munich by car or train. Therme Erding is about an hour. We are living in a relativly big house and as we don't have kids yet we have a guest room you could sleep in.

And for the eco SIN lady; Therme Erding is actually a by- product of a failed oil drilling project by Texaco who struck hot water 2.3km down, the water comes to the surface at ca. 130°C, passes through a heat exchanger system to provide district heating for around 20.000l people and buildings such as the local hospital and then supplies the therme at 34° before being pumped back down. Recently a new bore hole has been drilled to cater for new development in the town.

The Therme Erding consists of three parts: Tropical Spa & Water Park (GALAXY Water Slide Area), Vitality Oasis and Spa Area & Saunas. Only the first two parts can be seen in the video. The Spa Area & Saunas part is even bigger and has 24 different saunas. This area is only from the age of 16 and you are textile-free there.

Munich resident here. I personally love the nude spa section. Smaller, no slides, but less people and no kids. Hot pools, massage spurts, saunas, absolutely amazing. Food, drinks - and yes, floating bars, too. Quiet. And nobody's gawking, everybody just minds their own business.

really, no kids? Are kids not allowed? Or are they just rare?
@Julia-ot9be

@@swanpride No Kids Up to 16 years i think. All of the people are naked (Not allowed to wear anything instead of a towel) and its only for getting rid of stress and enjoying time quiet. In Sauna you only speak very quiet to not disturb Others. So for children it would be very boring.

@@swanpride but its only for the spa section. There are much bigger fun sections for children. Its just a seperated place.
@swanpride
@swanpride Жыл бұрын
@@Julia-ot9be Frankly, that depends. My parents took me to the spa since I was a child, and I always liked it. I also remember having been in one hotel during one vacation, which had two pools, one for adults and one for children. My parents managed to convince the pool personal that I was allowed to use the one for adults (which was practically empty anyway), because I wanted to train swimming and diving, which was simply not possible in the other pool, which was full to the brim and you run the risk of children jumping into the pool right on you, because it was so chaotic. Hence I find the "no children" rule unfair. A "no fooling and playing around" rule, fine, I am all for it, not every place needs to be a playground, but childreen have the same right of a calm place to be as adults have.
@Julia-ot9be

@@swanpride i think its OK to have a area Like this in such a big space (138000qm) with 40 Pools and 35 Saunas. Cause Lot of Young aged adultes or people without children ( maybe for a reason or only for choice) Like to have a stressless time too. We have two children and If we're goin there, we go for timeout as parens. I really Love my children bit sometimes its nice to have a me- time withy Hausband. If there were Others childrens it wouldn't bee that Stress releasing, couse with every "Mama" you would Look Up.😂

I dont know of anyone already commented on this but one of the coolest things there is that the big roof/dome can be completely opened on sunny days (you can see it's opened a bit at 2:49 ). Its so cool to chill in a warm bath under the bright sun!! They can also open the roof in the slide area, so when you go to the highest slide there you get an awesome view of the whole thing!

I am living just 20 Minutes away and i'm telling you: This Video is not only 20% of what Therme Erding really is! It is sooo big! You cannot see everything at one day! There is even a Hotel IN the waterpark, next to the wave pool 🎉 The slides are awesome! The Slide area is called "Galaxy". There is a family area and also a Spa area only for adults, that was the quiet place 😂 You can buy ice cream, Pizza, fries, crepes (Alcohol)... nearly everywhere, but you don't need money, you pay with your locker key. You pay everything you bought, when you leave. (That's a really hard moment) 😂 And the area outside is incredible! Also Slides, Bars, a beach, Pools... you can go on vacation there for one week and it will not get boring 😅

Me and my friends used to try and go there at least twice a year when we were all still living in Munich. It's a great place especially due to its child free spa/sauna zone (but of course there is an expansive area for children with slides and all as well). great for a short day-vacation :)

I live ~20km next to it ^^ What you cannot see here: The small pools have special water in it, for example with special salts or sulfur in them. These come from natural water sources deep under the ground and are pretty hot and healthy. You cannot stay there for longer then 10 mins.. but you will get out as a new born human beeing ^^ There is third pretty big area with a lot of these wellness pools and saunas. restricted to 16year+ where every one is naked. Sounds scary? no it isn't.. Swimming naked in a big pool is really great.. probably the best area to get the full relaxation! (but sure, the slides are awesome as well ^^) 5:00 Yes, this one is the scariest .. gets from the very top to the bottom nearly 90° downwards... it shows you a timer on how fast you got down .. (I do not remember exactly, but it was about 10 seconds?!?)

It's huge and consists of two parts, the one you saw on the video, which is a must visit if you're in Munich, and a second part for FKK, Freie Korper Kultur, meaning No Clothes. I think it is at least 20 different saunas, restaurants, bars and even conserts there.

7:00 it's also no "normal german" slide ending^^ --> This slide was built in 2022, while everything else already existed. So they did not have that much room to fit this one, which results in this bit of a "weird" ending. PS: especially this slide also really HAS staff at start and end, but of cause this isn't the case for 99% of every slide in Germany.

The term "Therme" (short for "Thermalbad") means a heated bath area - either by natural (geological) means or by technology - often with natural spring (mineral) water. It is opposed to "Schwimmbad", which means a bathing area, that is meant for swimming aka. sport. So in other words: If you go to a Therme, you go there mainly to relax and unwind, not for the activities. But it can also be relaxing to go there as a family, so the kids can go do the water slides and such, while the adults relax in the warm waters.

Therme means Spa. Not only for Sauna and Chilling but also for Kids which refers to a public Swimmingpool Schwimmbad.These Kind of Thermen are a Combination. Not every public Pool has a Sauna.
@m.h.6470
@m.h.6470 Жыл бұрын
By definition, Therme and Schwimmbad are opposites. The first is to relax and unwind and usually has warm water, while the second is for doing sports and usually has cold water. That is not to say, that there may be combination baths out there, but generally it has been my experience, that a bath focusses on one or the other.

Thermen-Kultur really grew over the last 30 years. Many good spas all around Germany, Austria and Switzerland, don't know about other countries though. Erding is cool yes, but i've been there once when it was luckily not that crowded on a Monday morning or so... my favorite Therme though is - not with so much extras - the Mediterana in Bergisch-Gladbach near Cologne. All in spanish or mexican hancienda style and a very relaxed atmosphere. Austria has fines ones as well in Bad Ischl and Bad Gastein for instance. And then there is the Tropical Islands south east of Berlin built in an old aircraft building, it's huge. I've never been there, but half of Berlin went there...

Was there recently for the second time with my son. Galaxy is called the part of the Therme with the slides. Fun fact: they even have a slide that is so dangerous to slide that only adults 18 and older and only men (due to the different body physics of women it’s too dangerous for them) are allowed to use it. PS: When we were there they had a big screen and stage put up at the side of the outside pool with the bar where they let DJ‘s play and Thursdays they are showing movies on the big screen. So I sat there in the pool with my virgin colada watching a movie in the evening. 👍

The Galaxy Erding ist just the Water Slide Part of the Therme Erding, if you only wanna use the Slides you can just get a ticket for the Galaxy. But the slides are crazy there, there is one slide which is not allowed for womans because they can damage there uterus (Thats what the pool attendant told me) The bad thing about the floating bar is that you can only drink Beer without alcohol there.
