They snip the whips in tact to the music. It's tradition and very difficult. It's Art.

The Oktoberfest started in 1810 when crown prince Ludwig married princess Therese von Sachsen-Hildburghausen. As he wanted to take the public part of this there was a horse race on a grassland (= "Wiese" in German) in Munich´s outlying area. In Therese´s honour this grassland has been named "Theresienwiese". The locals don´t say Oktoberfest but use instead the abbreviation "Wiesn". Later the start of the event was brought forward to September because of better weather conditions but it ends on the first Sunday in October except Oct 3rd (national day of reunification) falls on a Monday or Tuesday the Oktoberfest will be prolonged for one or two days.

Oktoberfest or like we called it Wiesn (pronounced Weasn) is awesome.I was there every year till COVID a few times but it is getting so expensive,a half Chicken (halbes Hendl) is about 30€.1Liter Beer is this year around 15€,that is the regular Price for 10Liter Octoberfestbeer in a Liquidstore about 20€. The most Germans joining the smaller and local Beerfests. They are circa 5€ cheaper and you don‘t have to wait one Hour for a free toilet

Oktoberfest, which is celebrated in September, is now just a tourist scam of a Bavarian tribe from the mountains

Be careful: NEVER call that kind of coloring "blue and white". It is the bavarians national colors and MUST be called "white & blue". They are really picky about that! 😉
