Next time you should reach out to a few of us who are here in Sactown. Would have been an awesome ride. There 8s a different way to go while you are still in the pocket area that puts you on a canal and throuch some park areas. It is a much nicer ride. I would be more than happy to show ya next time. Also.... there at Cal Expo, they are gearing up for X-games 2025. The X-games company is building a year round facility there on the grounds and will be holding the games there for the next 3 years. A swing bridge is powered from the main grid, using a DC motor and gear reduction to turn the platform. The motors are typically in the 20kw power range. A surprisingly low amount of power is needed because the gear reduction multiplies the power. So it’s not a direct drive like the Goat, but more like a big version of those Hentac motors in the ECells.

That is surprising. Looking back at the footage I can see a transformer on the bridge, just be used to convert AC back to DC for the motor.

Thanks for the tour. Fid you hit the breaks on the mud and that put you down ? Or did you slip and fall? Im.in San Diego its way cool to do erands on my ebike I don't have to deal with traffic and it's nice to get sine air and have a chill ride. When normally I'd be hurring to get done and out of traffic.

Not 100% sure, but I think the front brake is what did it. It slipped out so fast its hard to tell. I know I saw the patch ahead of me and probably hit the brake to slow down and slid out. Totally agree about errands on a bike. Sometimes I will even use a scooter just for ease of use and the ability to take it in stores with me

Hope you are okay ! Few questions: (1) What exactly did you mean when you said “I fell properly” ? Perhaps you can explain this for us folks who are new to e-bikes. (2) Do you have a front wheel drive and do you think this contributed to your fall ? I’ve heard multiple times from people with front drives motors complain about taking falls because the front side is pulling and loses traction.

Its better if you try and roll into a crash instead of resisting it. This bike is rear wheel only. I think what happened is I hit the front brake and it put me into a slid instantly which caused the wreck. Wet leaves are no joke, super slick

When I see or even just hearing you talk about a fox body mustang, I immediately associate them with a song called "Daddies Cup", by a band called the drive by truckers. If you've never heard of that song, well I wouldn't expect you to, but that's a song which I'm quite certain you'll appreciate, and it's a hell of a good song when you're on your way to compete in a sport or to listen to when you really need to hype yourself up for something, like on your morning commute to work or while you're on your lunch break.
