I apologize everyone, I was so focused on trying to figure out how to experience Muenster that I completely missed the actual historical monuments that make the city what it is 😢… BUT it gives me a HUGE reason to come back when I drive back to Hamburg from Muenster 🔥☺️! The goal was for me to learn more about your cities, towns, and Bundeslands while also enjoying these experiences with my friends! I’m currently in Aachen at the moment and I’ll make sure we have the best of BOTH worlds! I hope you guys enjoy! And thank you for your feedback ❤

I wonder about the conditions and cooperations under which you all are traveling ... you and your buddies, you all have your own agenda - and apparently no one has come up with the idea, that someone who is located on the other side of the world and does a huge afford to come here, shouldn't just run along locals as if he could make up for lost time and missed opportunities at any time. Playing at least a tiny little bit the tourist guides for you, alongside all of your rightly planned projects, would add value (at least for you, James ...) But I'm glad you're making a note of what you want to catch up on. And now just enjoy what you can 😊

@@JamesBray3 1. Tere is the Domplatz, it´s the place infront of the Dom and it is magnificent 2. from there you could go to the Lambertikirche and the Prinzipalmarkt 3. The Erbdrostenhof is also very beautiful and pretty much exactly next to the Peter Pane yall were eating in 4. Then there is the Schloss Münster (doesnt really have a name) 5. The Schloss also has a extremely beautiful and pretty big botanical garden which you need to see if your next vixit ist in the spring or summer season 6. The Aasee is a lake in Münster where many people hang out, it has cafes and places to just sit and relax 7. And last but not least there is the Kuhviertel which is very beautiful when you visit it in the evening Hope this helps! As someone born and living in Muenster I was pretty excited when I saw this video... now after watching it I'm a bit disappointed. You literally missed everything the city as to offer. You didn't visit the Prinipalmarkt, the Ludgerikirche, the Dom, the Schloss (castle?), the Aasee... sooo many great spots you could all visit in one day easily. And those are only the famous bits. There are so many more places. Oh well... I hope you visit the city again soon and take a proper look around. Because you definitely missed out on more or less all of it. Literally.

James, you come from the USA to Germany and then also to Münster, one of the most beautiful cities in Germany, and then you are most of the time on playgrounds and on totally unimportant access roads? It is a pity that your companions did not inform themselves about Münster beforehand.

As someone who lives in Berlin, but whose family is partly from Münster, I also find it absurd not to have seen the Prinzipalmarkt, the cathedral, the Aasee, the harbor district, the Kreuzviertel and the historic old town of Münster. How is that possible? Your German buddies have done zero preparation for Münster and are completely clueless, but sometimes make funny comments about the city. To be honest, that's pretty weak of the guys. If I were you, I would visit these places, that's what makes the city what it is. What's more, Münster is home to around 320,000 people, around 65,000 of whom are students.

I do know for sure that in Münster (as in any other place) you should meet with local people and ask them to teach you how to understand the atmosphere and what the people are like and how to act to get an accident free experience. Here, especially for Münster, for the bike situation 😅 A bike is a means of transportation, not a kid's toy or piece of sports equipment in this city. People don't dawdle, they have to get somewhere on time. That's why they avoid traffic jams and ride around them, if necessary even where they shouldn't. You have to know that and learn what to do if you're new to this environment, then everything is fine. You don't walk on the highway either, don't you? 😅 But I've also learned that even if bikers are allowed to do a lot there, they're really not allowed to do everything they want: Don't ever dare to ride in pedestrian zones or even without lights! 😅

Münster has a lot of History and Archistecture to look at - so more "Old People Stuff". It is in Westphalia (yeah, I know, Münsterland und co, but.... lets keep it easy at forst, will we?), so it is more chill (up to grumpy). The fun there is what you do with your Buddys. But also, it is not that you can not have Fun there - there is a lot to do anyhow. But it is more about "good everyday Living Quality" and you need weeks to see what the "Thing to appreciate" is. Chilling in Parks, have a Walk, Art installations and Museums and such. Also, the Churches - old and pretty pretty. But good to see you had Fun on that Playground with some Buddys - that is how it is meant to be around Münsterland/Westphalia. And usually it is enhanced with Beer and Srinks plus plenty of Food. Who pukes, looses. If you ask me,take some Time, rent a Camping site for that Caravan and then visit some Historical stuff on the Day kinda "educational Trip" and have some BBQ and Booze in the Evening every Day for a Week.

For the bike use: Münster is a medium sized city (most trips are under 5 km), the landscape is very flat - and you have a big university in the town. All elements that help convincing people to use a bike for everyday commute. It is just the most efficent way of getting from one place to another - in Münster. And also - finding a place where to park your car is quite time consuming. Most times the bike ride takes less time than finding a free parking spot - and there is a good chance you have to pay for parking your car. Not happening for the bicyles ... And also: The citys council, mayor and else have been bike-friendly for decades. Making room on the streets for bikes - just rewatch the video and take a look at all these red (and sometimes green) marked bicycle lanes. They are put in place for car drivers as a way of saying "bicyles very likely to cross your path - and they have the "right of way"".

James, just for you to know: The fact that you get very well roasted here about some things, that is less anger towards _you_ than the fact that with these comments you can show off to anyone that you have an audience that actually cares about your well-being and your content at least as much as the audience of any of all the other creators does 😉 At the very least, if not more 💪🤨

Münster ain't a city, it is just a giant village, as I never got city flair in it, always reminded me of my village :D Not in a bad way btw, it is meant as a compliment

This is genuinely hilarious James 🤣 Probably the single most ill-staffed group of people to explore Münster with It starts with the Campers driving through the most bike friendly city of Germany, 10/10 would watch that in my free time from my balcony 😂 Don't misunderstand, I am not angry as I am not even from Münster It's just so funny The dude who called it a "dead city", it's literally a University City with oh so many student pubs in the old city And since you are all guys: Female university students everywhere, as in everywhere I mean who schedules meetings in some random park or in front of some random building As if the old city didn't exist, as if the Zoo didn't exist lmao I can't stop laughing

You could have ticked off the cultural program with 30 minutes of shuffling through the old town, just from one side to the other, if you didn't feel like it. And then hanging out with a few bottles of beer, wine etc. at the Aasee until the middle of the night, including meeting a bunch of new people - that should be just as possible nowadays as it used to be, right? 🤔 Just to get started, the program can be expanded as required any time.

Guys ... James unites a wohle lot of very different people with different interests on his channel and usually covers a huuuge spectrum with his content. This community is very wide-ranging, with all interests and all age groups represented. It's his absolute unique selling point and he manages it perfectly. I suspect that the other participants of the van tour are more specialized and he is dependent on them this time. James' Community will probably have to cut back a little here, there will be other times when he can be more himself 😊 I think it's even worse for him than it is for us. (When I think about how overwhelmed he always is by the Kölner Dom and by - for us - completely random "old" buildings that aren't even really old or particularly beautiful ... and how much he enjoyed biking ... and how beautiful the weather was ... then Münster would have been the perfect place to blow his mind.) Despite everything, we just shouldn't spoil his fun, it's a bit like a school trip, culture vultures on tour don't have any less fun, if most of us remember correctly, right? 😅 Let's just go for it.
