I've been there once, liked the food and people, but hell no I can't live there, the whole country is so flat!! I am used to our german mountains, atleast need like some little hills. I love to look into the nature and see a forest and some up and down enviorement. Was so happy when I was back xD Heimweh!

Ironically Western European festival culture started by copying Woodstock and Monterey. They never lost that vibe and XTC might have been helpful too. It's sad the Americans lost something they introduced to the world themselves.

As someone who has been following you for a while now, it's just nice to see how you live your life. As a young German, I think you can learn a thing or two about being interested in other cultures. The Americans I met outside America were often much more open-minded than the cliché (except in Cancun haha, the American Mallorca)

The festival I go to is kinda like woodstock (lots of hippies lots of different music genres) and I live near an area were there is a very famous Rock festival every year (Rock am Ring) or some people go to Techno festivals which can be amazing (especially small ones), my mum loves her Jazz festival... Often there is amazing food, art, sculptures, workshops, some festivals are very family friendly...

Unfortunately, I didn’t get to go to Liq this year as I was dealing with family circumstances in the US. I’m so jealous, but especially happy you got to experience the love and good vibes that Liquicity is known for-it sounds odd to say but it truly does feel like being reunited with family each year I do. Went to Liquicity last year from the UK and it's the most friendly music event I've ever been to. People from all over Europe and beyond come there for their love of DnB and to have a good time. It's also probably one of the cleanest and environmentally friendly events I've experienced. Glad you enjoyed it!

I've spend my childhood in the Netherlands until I became 6 years old. All I can remember that the country is beautiful, the food one of the best in the world. Especially the meat Crocuettes.. Yummi. Sadly I was mocked in the Kindergarten for being a German. Only from the boys. The girls were nice😊 Later in Germany I was mocked for being Dutch, because I spoke better Dutch than German. 😮

I live in Aachen/Aken, so literally on the Dutch-German-Belgian border and we have a very good relationship with our Dutch neighbours here. I agree with you about the country....... but the food??? Ok, each one has their own taste, but compared to the food in Germany, you have an immediate drop in quality when you cross the border to the NL 😅 It's completely different if you go to Belgium: the Belgians are gourmets and - just like the French - love good quality cuisine. Even the supermarkets are better in Belgium than in Germany 😋

@@KWG-ln4on I'm grown up with Dutch food. I love all kind of fish, Matjes too, rice cake, the Dutch cheese, also the Indonesian food sold in the Netherlands. I've seen in TV, that children in Japan eating raw squids, and they love it. They simply learned to like it. I couldn't eat raw squid. I won't say, that the Germans food is bad. For sure not.

@@KWG-ln4on Greetings from Vaals. In my impression the supermarketfood in Aachen has about the same quality as in Vaals. A lot of the veggies and meat come from the Netherlands. I mostly buy alcohol and tobacco, which costs less than half. The bread is really good and some Würste too. But every Tuesday there's a big country market in Vaals and I think that 80 percent of the customers are from Aachen.

The tiny little cars are called a 'brommobiel' and are used by handicapped people. They are allowed on roads up to 50km/h (the speedlimit of a brommobiel is 45km/h)

Also every few years some new company has the amazing idea to start marketing these to teen boys (as it's essentially just a moped/scooter with more body panels) and that tends to not be appreciated by the rest of the population (as they will obviously just drive them like they do their mopeds/scooters, with severe lack of awareness of their surroundings) leading to that company being told to stop doing so, then a few years later same thing, over and over 😂

We have both Pinkpop and Lowlands - those are both massive festivals. Pinkpop has hosted all major artists over the years (pearl jam, metallica, even Springsteen multiple times)

I went two or three years ago when Pearl Jam and Metallica were both there, it was amazing and Pearl Jam definitely were the highlight of the entire festival for me. Eddie was really drunk but still stole the show, even more so than Metallica which surprised me. But I'm saddened to see that rock is slowly disappearing from PinkPop.

Liquicity is another level when it comes to people taking care of eachother at a music festival. It's the only one I return to without thinking twice, and it gets better year after year because the organisers take all feedback to heart. It's by far the best festival in my opinion!

Its just about that, live in the moment, dance in the moment, just for you and the music, a moment of freedom and carelessness ❤ If you are still here next year, look out to "Nature One" Festival in Germany. Its just wonderfull, mostly the camping area 😂 you defently need to camp the weekend for the real experience. Maybe you can watch a few videos about the big german Festivals and the camping, like "Rock am Ring"(Rock), "Wacken"(Metal), or "Nature one" (Techno) would be nice to see your reaction 😊

If you come over to the uk next year check out boomtown or dnb allstars festival. Boomtown is over 4 days and expensive but dnb allstars is all day and only 60 quid

I love going to rock/metal concerts. Totally different vibe, I know. But in the end, the same outcome. People are friendly, watch out for each other. You're all there to share your love for the same music and the same scene. Last band I saw was All Them Witches from Nashville, Tenn, Beautiful people, awesome vibe. Good to see you had a good time.

Been twice to liquicity festival (full weekends both of them), the vibe is just magical. Everyone there is just vibing and making memories for life. Great choice of festival, I didn't expect you to go to LF! I couldn't go this year, but I've been to Liquicity Festival last year and the year before that. I'm planning on going next year as well. Liquicity is a different breed, we’re all there for music and vibes. Take care of one another. I got tickets for two days, ended up getting someone’s weekend armband. It was awesome, one of the best experiences in my life yet. I went with someone that could only stay one day, ended up in a tentcamp with loads of new friends, we have new trips planned :)

Hertog Jan literally translates to Duke John, it's reasonably good beer. Even if the food quality is a lot better than in the US, avoid McDonalds at all cost. Regular 'snackbars' generally have much more choice and tastier fast food. The 'social' aspect is an important factor of a social democracy, people do look out for eachother. It seems like your soul feels more at home in the Netherlands. 😉 Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for sharing

Joel if you like the dutch and the germans than you should visit the danish as well. I as a German I liked the Roskilde Festival best. My advice: At your age experience the fun of festivals. Only record once in a while and be in the moment. Cause thats what it is all about! You will recall all these moment whithout a digital divice later in your life - what a magic is that... 😜

As an old doll i smiled all through your concert. I hope you had as much fun as we did in the 60's and 70's festivals. . it looked like you did. Although i think our music was more iconic lolll

looks like an amazing festival! and regarding "this is not tomorrowland or glastonbury" - the smaller the festival, the more authentic the crowd and the artists. the super large festivals are even frowned upon by parts of the respective communities for that reason. so nothing wrong with it being smaller, you can have the best time at small ones with 1 tent and maybe 200 people.

great video, love your vids about our country :-) if you wanna visit a real cool festival..go to Defon 1...for myself i allways love the endshow on sunday..its amazing..not from this world..makes you cry :-)
