Hello ASL Heroes!!! If you’ve enjoyed these lessons or videos you are invited to help support ASL University. A donation from you would instantly make a big difference here at the studio because teachers don’t earn much and I could use some help paying for server and domain hosting for the ASL University website: Lifeprint.com. There's an easy way you can help out your humble (as well as kind, caring, generous, compassionate, helpful, friendly, fair, and hard-working) ASL teacher. Just click on the Paypal (donation) link below and you can be an "above and beyond" ASL Hero! www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=64QMBRBXQSV6G Thanks! - Dr. Bill ========================== p.s. Want to have your very own USB drive with four semesters worth of ASL instruction (that’s the equivalent of two years of colleges classes) for just $79.95? See "SuperUSB" in the ASLUniversity bookstore at: lifeprint.com/bookstore/bookstore.htm Take care and my best to you all. :)

@dootdoot069
@dootdoot069 5 жыл бұрын
It's just: you+need+go+toilet with eyebrows raised to indicate a question. You is point at them, need is x hand "nodding" once or twice, go is both hands pointing somewhere, and toilet is the t hand shaking side to side. Sometimes I just sign toilet with my eyebrows up.
@lisahinton9682
@lisahinton9682 5 жыл бұрын
@@dootdoot069 Eyebrows up indicates a yes/no question only. For who, what, where, why, when, and how, the eyebrows aren't up, but furrowed.
@sign-language
@sign-language 5 жыл бұрын
Lisa: Something else to consider: In addition to yes-no questions -- raised eyebrows can be used to create rhetorical questions out of who, why, what, when, where, how, etc. So, if you see a sign like WHY done with eyebrows up it (probably) indicates that it is being used "rhetorically." My granddaughter was taught to sign a song in school and now she is very interested in learning to sign so she can talk to a hearing impaired friend as well using this to help others in the future. I would like to get a series of lessons for her to begin to learn this when she has time…she has no time to attend a weekly class. Can you recommend a DVD course. she is an adolescent.

As far as I know, that sign means anything related to "really," "actually," "am," "are," "is," etcetera, so I would assume that "very" can also be used in place of really and actually. But I'm learning that there are multiple signs for different things, so both could be accurate versions of "very"! :)
