I've been teaching that trick for over 30 years to my in-person classes. Figured I'd show it to my online students as well.

I figured out how to do it forward but I'll need more practice to get it backward. Very cool trick that takes a lot of hand dexterity! I can mess around with it and pretend I'm practicing fingerspelling speed lol

Hahahahhah! I am a righty and I have seen you before doing that trick so I tried it this time but I ended up with my left hand on top of my right hand!! I am going to watch it slow motion now. I hope you are all ok Dr. Bill! :)

Please Sir,Can I do it in my country and tag you?
@sign-language4 жыл бұрын
Sure, you could do the "trick" in your country and tag me... ... or you could do it in a boat. or you could do it with a goat... or you could do it, in the rain. or in the dark. or on a train. or in a car. or in a tree. It is so fun, so easy, you see! So you could do it in a box. or you could do it with a fox. or you could do it in a house. or you could do it with a mouse. or you could do it here or there. you could do it anywhere! _____________ Hat tip (and apologies) to Mr. Theodor Seuss Geisel (better known as "Dr. Seuss").

Hello ASL Heroes!!! Hey, I could really use your help. If you’ve enjoyed having access to an expert in ASL you can help me continue my work for you. A small monthly donation from you would instantly make a big difference here at the studio because teachers don’t earn much and I could use some help paying for server and domain hosting for Lifeprint.com. Right now you can help out a humble (not to mention kind, caring, generous, compassionate, helpful, friendly, fair, and hard-working) ASL teacher -- just go here and a few clicks later you too will be a true “ASL Hero!” www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=64QMBRBXQSV6G Thanks! - Dr. Bill p.s. Want to have your very own USB drive with four semesters worth of ASL instruction (that’s the equivalent of two years of colleges classes) for just $79.95? See "SuperUSB" in the ASLUniversity bookstore at: lifeprint.com/bookstore/bookstore.htm Take care and love to you all. :)

I was taught that trick when i was 6 years old
@sign-language4 жыл бұрын
I've been teaching that trick for over 30 years. (Closer to 35) So it makes me wonder how many years ago you were "six" and who taught the person that taught the person that taught you -- if you know what I mean. Of course If I could come up with the trick on my own (which I did many years ago) -- I'm sure others could too. It would be interesting to find out just how long that trick has been floating around and if anyone else lays claim to having come up with it (too).
