Now ask those beautiful and handsome Asians in the West if they’ll be given the same opportunity if they had the same or even greater level of talent and fluency in the local language. No. They have to go back to Asia to be given a chance. For e.g the Asian Americans and Asian Australians in the Kpop industry. Idk why Asians worship White people so much. They set the bar for white people so low that they’ll gawk at even the basic things they do and praise them. Ain’t no Asians getting praised in the West for speaking their national language fluently like the Asians praise foreigners for speaking Asian languages. Instead you’ll be fetishised if you’re an Asian women or hate crimed if you’re an Asian men. Lmao

@@omr4745 The thing is that there are actually a lot of Chinese, Japanese, Korean that have really fair skin, like born with inherently pale white skin but not albinism, so we have indeed been embracing the better of our own skin color, unlike a lot of the Caucasians who dislike their pale skin tone and love to get themselves tanned so much. And it has been part of the Chinese and Japanese cultures to prefer fair white skin since ancient times, way back before the European colonialism, so we do indeed have pride in our cultures. People of other races will continue to mock the Asians, look down upon the Asians, because of bigotry, and pure racism based on how the Asians are like, it has nothing to do with whether if the Asians embrace their skin color, which isn't exactly yellow to begin with, and the Asians do have pride in their cultures, with the Chinese being the proudest of all and most defensive for their cultures, as in the recent case of Chinese New Year, which is absolutely not Lunar New Year in all aspects, yet the Chinese were still mocked by the others and race traitors in Taiwan and worldwide who disown their Chinese roots and cultures.

I felt a little sad when she said in an interview: "I really wanna have something like the Chinese New Year too, everyone goes back home for whole family reunion and that just makes you feel safe, like you're part of something. But I'll never be a Chinese, nor an American." Even though she loves China, the culture and the people, she still feels a bit lonely sometimes in a sense of not having a strong, shared identity and sense of belonging. But I'm sure many will agree with me, she is as every bit Chinese as they come. Her bf better make better she gets that security! me so jealous!

@@ffbeexaid4509 As Christmas is probably not as big as Chinese New Year in China, the feeling of all families are celebrating together is different.
@KrazeDiamond Жыл бұрын
@@ffbeexaid4509 Christmas is somewhat similar in a sense where families and friends gather to feast to celebrate the birth of Christ. But at tis core it's a religious festival. Chinese New Year is much more than that, it runs deep in the Chinese culture, heritage, traditions. It's about paying homage to the ancestors who laid down the foundations to better our lives; it's about ridding the old and negative energies and welcome the new and good fortune; it's about celebrating the past year's good harvests and pray for better yields in this new cycle. Due to the many restrictions in Western countries, you can't experience the real Chinese New Year unless you're in China. What she feels is shared by many diasporas. But what she really longs for is a shared identity "I'll never be a Chinese", but under the skin, she's more Chinese than a lot of overseas Chinese.

Why do the Chinese names have strange foreign names preceding their ancestral names. People should be proud of their given names by their parents for whatever names bestowed has some significance for the child to carry throughout their lives. They ought to be proud and explain to other of such significance to appreciate. Look at some other naming cultures like in India Bhutan Nepal Japan Thailand Native people. A name carries its cultural heritage. How come the westerners or others don’t adopt chinese names infront of their names ? It is of inferior complex ? Otherwise your ancestors will not hear you
@beproudasian8279 Жыл бұрын
It's for the benefit of foreigners and non-Chinese. Oftentimes people can't pronounce Chinese name. You can ask any Chinese American on this, they'll tell you the same. The ignorant foreigners can never remember the Chinese name or pronounce it properly. Don't make assumption on things you're not familiar with.
@markc6140 Жыл бұрын
Important is the surname followed by given names. Nowsdays, young Chinese prefer to have a foreign name including the surname and given name. This is to enable non-Chinese friends to call them with ease. So be careful what you utter when you dont have indepth knowledge of another race. You said "otherwise ancestors will not hear you". Dont past sarcastic remarks about other races' ancestors when you too also have ancestors.
@cinpeace353 Жыл бұрын
It is too superficial to determine people by name. Some people have a original culture name doesn't mean they carry the culture of it or won't attack that culture.
