Three of corrections: 1) The Alabama flag was a square until very recently. 2) The Florida flag didn't originally have the seal on it. It differed from the Alabama flag in that it is rectangular and (as you mentioned) the saltair is wider. The seal was added later to avoid confusion with the Alabama flag. 3) The new Georgia flag (as pictured in this video) is based on the first national flag of the Confederate States of America often called the Stars and Bars.

I am guessing you didn't know the reason why California's flag has a star, or why their early versions also had a lone star on it. The American settlers there when they formed their short lived republic, placed their lone star in the upper left corner as a salute to Texas. Who Californian's considered themselves as a sister state to, both in their predecessor, rebellions for independence, relative sizes, and main economy which was farming and ranching. (I know short lived sisterhood).

It’s kind of sad that history has to be censored. The “confederate flag” that everyone fears isn’t even the original flag. Of course, you can’t discuss the meaning of the flag just like you can’t discuss the meaning behind the swastika (which is a religious symbol that hitler ironically decided to corrupt). You also can’t discuss the fact that only 3% of the (wealthy) south owned slaves. You also can’t discuss the fact that the only reason the civil war was lost by the south was because the financial support from other countries. History is important.. even if it is offensive or horrific. It’s necessary to know in order to learn from the mistakes of our past so that these mistakes will not be repeated. But yet, here we are.. extremely close to another civil war. This is its “We the People” against our establishment government, globalists, and the elites. But once again, you can’t discuss this.

As someone who grew up in Maryland and now live in NYC, I concur on the Maryland flag fetish I've read from a few commentators here. My brothers, who still live in Maryland, carry that flag or the patterns everywhere they go--on car decals, socks, scarves, hats, you name it. It shows you the power of a well-designed flag. In my 12 years living in NYC, I have never, EVER seen any New Yorkers carrying their boring, boring flag anywhere. That also includes the city flag, which is also boring as sin. This city can DEFINITELY use a good flag to elicit that type of pride.

Every state has a nickname. Ohio can be referred as "the buckeye state." I never have heard the O in the Ohio flag representing the Northwest Territory, but I can say it stands for Ohio and buckeyes. Buckeyes are like this nut kind of thing that can get to the size of a wall nut. It's brown on the outside, but there is a large tan, circular spot somewhere on it. I've had buckeye candies, which are peanutbutter in the middle, with chocolate on the outside, and peanut butter as the tan spot. Edit: So I'm from Ohio, but live in Tennessee, so I love both states. (Also lived IN Iowa for a while, but was like 3 or 4 so I don't remember anything.) With the Tennessee flag, the blue strip on the right doesn't represent anything. It kinda just breaks up the red field, but I've to think it should represent the Tennessee River, which is what the state was named after.

I recommend that before you record and post a video to learn the proper pronunciation of the names of people, places, ethnic groups, and any other words in your script that could easily be mispronounced. However, if the proper pronunciation of any words in your script are difficult for you to pronounce, to I recommend that state that some of the words in your video are hard to pronounce and that you mean no disrespect by your attempt to pronounce them. Thus, property pronouncing words in your videos as accurately as you can should be a priority and not forgotten or an afterthought. Another suggestion, is that instead of you pronouncing difficult to pronounce words, that if possible, you use recordings of their proper pronunciation.

Missouri’s flag, the bears represent the strength of the people. The crescent moon is traditional for 2nd born sons. Missouri was the 2nd state carved out of the Louisiana Purchase. There are 23 small stars and one slightly larger. The larger star represents Missouri, the 24th state. There is also a belt buckle which is said to represent the idea that if the people weren’t happy, Missouri could leave the union.

For example my personal favorite which is Ontario's as it's a reference to Canada's old Canadian Red Ensign flag plus it's also a reference to Canada's long history of being part of the British Empire and later Commonwealth of Nations.
