+sirprintalot Besides being a mega corporation with their own brown disneyland, if you eat some hersheys with your taste buds clean and your eyes shut, you will taste a gritty nasty waste of time. Cadbury is hard to beat, but #1 in the US GUITTARD!!! When I called and asked a spokesperson if it was the chocolate that macadmias are coated with (Mauna Loa brand), they paused a second, and in a slightly surprized voice, said 'yes'. Woot! Score one for the chocoholic of the planet! Guittard is as close to good Belgian chocolate as you can get.

Thank you, that's nice to hear. I'm British and I like Dairy Milk, I also don't mind Hershey's, it's alright. It's nothing special but I would eat Hershey's. People need to chill out. What I do love is Ben and Jerry's Phish Food icecream! we get Ben and Jerry's over here and I must say it is incredible and that was created in America. Ben and Jerry's is the best brand of ice cream out there.

ITFC45 American chocolate uses slightly different ingredients and processes. It ends up with a slightly more sour taste. Since they grew up with it, chocolate without that sourness can be weird, so many companies actually add ingredients to the otherwise normal chocolate to make it taste slightly sour, to fit the tastes of the consumers. For the record, I think it's weird.

I don't know where these kids are shopping, but Dairy Milk and numerous Cadbury chocolates are available in many areas of America. Maltesers are sold here as of about five years ago, but they have major competition against previous malted milk candies that have long been available.

Hershey’s has butyric acid in it which is found in vomit and Parmesan cheese which is why it tastes sour and chalky where as uk chocolate is make with fresh milk . This is down to the distance the milk has to travel to reach the factory . The us is much more vast and the milk would spoil before it reaches is destination so butyric acid is used as a preservative
