It is a 6.2 Liter supercharged V8. 707HP and 645tq. Its a Cherokee with a Hellcat engine pretty much. In any case, its a $100K and still a Jeep Cherokee.

Look at the Christmas Tree lights in between both cars after they take off. You'll see the light is green, which means the Trackhawk and the Range Rover for example, took off on time and not early. So Trackhawk wins because the driver knows how to time the launch. If Trackhawk was early, the light would appear red on Trackhawk's side.

Also not considering how superchargers and twin turbos differ. Superchargers give immediate power, thus why in drag race superchargers get going quicker; while turbos take more time to kick in. You can see this when superchargers get beaten by turbo charged during rolling starts. American muscle were built for drag racing while European turbo charges were built for tracks.

The track hawk has the hellcat motor in it but it takes off with all four wheels. So it launches a slot quicker than a lot of cars. They come 707hp but on the dyno they make 605hp to the wheels.

The starting grid looks wet, but it isn´t. It rather has a super traction coating. Would be interesting to know if some cars are configured for this extra grip and others not. And why did the cars not use the lauch control to overcome the turbo delay? Is it a drag rule thing? just done some internet research. The European cars need to fulfill environmental specifications regarding fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. The non modified Hawk needs about twice as much fuel and also emits twice as much CO2. Would be interested what motor modification they all use. But for sure the Hawk driver is an incredible starter.

If you want to watch an American truck, besides a Track Hawk, totally destroy a Lamborghini, watch the video clip of the Farm Truck drag racing a Lamborghini. It is a street legal 1970 Chevrolet C-10 pick-up truck that has one helluva V8 in it. The Lambo did not stand a chance against that truck.
