Yeah, she had badluck and they chose wrong place to camp. But still india is not very safe. I have seen more solo foreigner girl rider in india, they have good experience and nothing happened to them. I have seen 1 year ago one Vietnamese couple also traveled to india and lived in camped in many different place of india. They got help from indian police and army. They were safe.

In Mizoram if you respect other they will respect you. We Mizo are close knitted society as such we live in the principle of Mutual Respect. We are wary of strangers but we also respect them, so you might find some people will not willingly open too much or talk too much but you will still get a smile and good answer to your question. But if you earn the trust of Mizo you will see that we are talkative and down to earth. We treat Foreigners and other all alike. And regarding food don't worry about vegetarians dishes, we Mizo love eating meat but we eat more vegetables than meat, because there are more types of vegetables than meat. All you need to do is mention that you are vegetarian and don't eat meat.
