Stacey Collins Gardiner, the mother of Travis Timmerman, joins “NewsNation Prime” to discuss her son's return to the U.S. and the emotions surrounding his journey home. Timmerman, an American man missing for months in war-torn Syria, was found this week walking barefoot in the streets. He had been imprisoned by rebels before his release. The White House said it was unaware the 29-year-old was in Syria, where he now says he was detained while on a Christian pilgrimage.

Ah, another "Pilgrim"...this kind of stuff happens more often than people think. A member of our Methodist church went on one of these "pilgrimages" with his fiance during the 90's...they were detained for 3 days by rebels in southern Lebanon under the suspicion that they were Israeli/American spies. Church's need to really start telling people to stop doing these pilgrimages. You never know when a random war starts up, and which area is going to be temporarily taken over by rebels or terrorists or who knows what. Lebanon and Syris have not been reliably or consistently "safe" since the 1970's, and you're taking a gamble anytime you step foot in those countries if you're American.
