As a native speaker, she sounds like she smoked a blunt/marijuana and sounds high lol No offense to Sophia hehe She seems really sweet and gentle, but my goodness, she does speak really slow, but could be either how she's raised/environment, or as someone did mention, some neurological condition that makes her speak slow. Either way, it's a nice change to see an American that's soft spoken. Not all of us are loud and crass! :D

I was surprised she didn't guess Vietnamese, at least in my city (in America) we have a lot of Vietnamese people, so I can recognize the language when I hear it. Then again, I'm not familiar with Laos so I'm not sure how similar they sound. Obviously China and Japan were quite easy, but I must be hearing a lot of Indonesian lately. I was already familiar with which girl was which from other videos but I was looking away from the screen and could tell the Indonesian girl as soon as I heard her. The language is very unique!

It's likely because the Vietnamese people are used to is the Southern dialects. Hien is from the North where the dialects sound different. It's like a Texan and Scottish speaking English.

I'm so mad at myself I actually watch Indonesian movies but I got that wrong. Never heard Mongolian but I guessed that right. Never heard someone from Myanmar speak in their native tongue but it sounded like Japanese for its softer tones. The cuteness/sweetness factor was off the charts in this video, especially when Sophia was talking to the girl from Thailand. Sophia did really well with her guesses and reasoning her answers out. Even for average Americans, we've heard "hello" and "goodbye" so many times in Japanese, Saki saying hello was an easy giveaway.
