An American as an "expert" on English speaking is so weird. You guys can't even pronounce some English words correctly and had to completely change the word in some instances just so you could talk. 😂

Sad thing is, they're replacing the colorful Jeepneys with boring white minibuses. Its more comfortable than a jeepney but its really not that iconic on the road anymore. Gone are the days that I look for those jeepneys with marvel superheroes painted on them to ride home(they were the biggest jeeps that go my route).

I asked my Thai wife if she could tell the difference between Asians based only on appearance and she said "NO". I did pretty well on this, I only missed Malaysia and Mongolia, and on Mongolia I guessed Nepal or Bhutan (mountains).

Both the girl & guy does not have enough knowledge about their own country. The Malaysian doesn’t explain Malaysia very well.. lack of knowledge of own country.. she’s basically just reading from the teleprompter.. should find a better representative. And ive been to Indonesia so many times.. its not hard to find fork & spoon, alcohol or pork. These people are an embarrassment to each country.. find someone else please.

Also, Malaysia & Indonesia share a lot of the same culture because some of the Malays ancestors came from the now Indonesia (Sumatera,Java, Riau etc). My ancestors personally r from Minangkabau & Kerinci. This is why we share similar cultures.. no one is claiming anything from anyone. Learn history then u will know why both countries share their foods, cultures & also language.

Interestingly, "orange" (the fruit) in Russian is the same as in Swedish, not Serbian or Polish as you might expect. However, the origin of "apelsin/апельсин" is actually old Low German and Dutch, and it means "Chinese apple." These words show how there are many connections between seemingly random Indo-European languages. It really is one big family! "Наранџаста/narancs/naranja" is an interesting one, partly because Hungarian isn't even Indo-European. The historical geography of different food crops plays a significant role in these particular cases as well. Atlas Pro did a very cool video on the geography of vegetables, and I highly recommend it. Check it out!

Americans have a myth that it is low-key dangerous to walk and use public transport in the USA. That has never been my experience. We always walk and use public transport when we are there.

The reason why South Slavs have most in common with other languages is that we kept most of our words from old Church Slavonic, while western and eastern Slavic cousins has changed it a lot through the ages

Lebanon is a Christian country. The culture is Christian. Just because these people took over it by increasing their numbers that doesn't mean, they can call it Arab.

I know this channel is based in Korea, but whoever put the subtitles up needs to learn proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation...or hire a native English speaker to do it because it's distracting. Otherwise love the videos. I felt bad for Saki...he didn't even give her chance! He was wayy too over confident.
