Hi Ben: Nice video of father & son eating together in an Indian restaurant in Michigan. Can't believe that your dad has not tasted Indian food so far considering that you have lived in India for the past 3 years and would have mentioned Indian food in your talks with family. Anyway, he seemed to like the food. Big moment coming up for you soon, 100K subscribers. All the best for that.

Two things, it's pronounced "Goo-laa-b Jaa-moon", not Julaa-b and second when you eat it, try breaking it in half with your dessert spoon, dip in the syrup and eat it. Gulab Jamun is pronounced with a G as in Gate, not Julab, but Gulab. Also , there is not RULE that you HAVE to eat with your hands, in fact most restaurants will give you spoons and forks, you can choose to not use them. Most indians will use spoons and forks. Only in some mess or high end places where they give you finger baths to clean up should you eat with your hands. In some tiffin or luch mess in south india they do not by default provide spoons. Also, most people will take small bites of Gulab Jamuns, not pop the whole thing in your mouth . And may other india sweets are much more lavish and opulent, (also more expensive) like Bengali SONDESH, Korapak, Kaju Katri, Gajar ka halwa, Milk cake , Badam katri, Green Pista Burfi ... these are much less sweet and have subtle tastes and flavors) .
