The state fair is nowadays in Grand Island (100ish miles West of Lincoln, 150ish West of Omaha.) For many, many, Many decades, it was in Lincoln. It was put in G.I. to be more "central," however, its attendance has been less than 1/2 of what it was when it was in Lincoln.
