American Truck Simulator - Texas DLC Video Trailer

Texas is so big with so many cities and landmarks, SCS had to give it a 3 minute trailer video. I am not sure, but I think that is a new record for SCS DLC trailers. If it was 10 minutes, I would still watch it over and over on repeat. I hope Steam's servers can handle the load on November 15th, because Texas will be the number 1 most sold product on Steam that day and probably more. Thanks SCS and everyone for your hard work over the past 1-1/2 to 2 years in careful development of the Texas DLC. For me, this is definitely a Day One purchase.

A new record for most cities in one state DLC as well. Washington DLC had the most for three years since its release in June 2019 with 16 cities in it's DLC. But once Texas releases on November 15th, it will have a mind boggling 29 CITIES in the DLC. Crazy, huh?

I totally agree! Texas is freaking high. Takes 6 hours just to get the Louisiana/Texas state line from Austin. I have lived all over Texas in the past 20 years Dallas, San Antonio, Austin, Killeen, Copperas Cove just to name a few. I can't wait for that DLC

I lived at the other side of the screenshot at 2:51 for two years. That's almost the exact same view I saw everyday while going to work. I almost cried for just how realistic it looks. Good job, SCS. I'm getting this DLC on day 1 and going to spend another 200 hours in this game. Y'all deserve way more recognition than y'all have.

As someone from Texas who drives on I-35 past Exit 234 on my way to work every morning in austin you did an absolutely outstanding job. Amazing. edit - you even got that damn crane that has been there for far too long. The interchange in south austin between 35 and 71 even has the old RR tracks. The attention to detail is outstanding

Having lived and grown up in DFW nearly all my life...THIS WAS THE GREATEST ANNOUNCEMENT YET! I just moved out of Texas because of a family emergency in Missouri, but this will bring me back home! The representation of Six Flags on I-30 looks fantastic! I cannot wait to drive back into Texas! Also a BIG congrats by the way SCS! You are now in the Central/Mid-Western States! You guys have come a long way and have done a great job! I still remember first playing ATS like it was yesterday with just three states to drive through. Now we have 11 very soon to be 12! Keep up the great work and I look forward to seeing what state you all intend to surprise us with next!

For the first couple of years, I hardly played ATS because there really wasn’t a whole lot to it. There was just California, Nevada, and Arizona - all three I thought were okay, but nothing close to what ETS2 had for number of activities or simply the scenery variety itself. There was also only two truck companies to chose from; Kenworth & Peterbuilt. For the first two years, it was obvious that SCS was still very much still focused on ETS2, however these last two years or three years, SCS really started bringing its attention to ATS and the things they’ve done are amazing. The Washington, Colorado, and the Utah DLC were the first three that I thought were really well done. And around that same time, two truck manufacturers went to five+. The number of activities, not only deliveries, but even things like viewpoints, convoys, and so on really made the game feel more complete. I really have to give mad respect to SCS for what they’ve accomplished. It’s been a long journey but our speed is increasing at an astonishing rate. It’s not going to be long before the whole country is completed.

I wonder how they're gonna handle the smaller states in the east. Maybe we'll get DLCs called "New England" or "The Deep South" for example. Also I really hope they focus on those straight endless roads in the Midwest, like in the east of the Colorado DLC.

Yes!!! It’s finally coming within 2 weeks! This is gonna be a massive state! The second largest state in the US! And the level of detail says it all completely with how good this seriously looks! My god this is massive and to even know that we’ve been waiting for a year on this, tells us they really wanted to make this as real as possible. It’s just this one’s got the most detail in it with how long of a development this took, and with how accurate they wanted to make Texas be! I can tell they had people to Texas to get a full insight on the state itself, pictures, etc. They got every single detail in it and that’s why Texas is going to be the No.1 DLC out there

I am really hyped about the Texas DLC. Even tho i prefer ETS2 with nearly 2200 hours of gameplay and ATS with close to 300 hrs. But this DLC will change my Motivation to play more ATS. Thank you SCS Software for your hard work!

It’s astounding I could recognize several small towns just from buildings that I happen to know are iconic to those towns, but wouldn’t be recognizable instantly to the wider world. I have waited literally years for this moment. I hope the side streets are detailed and I can really explore my home city of San Antonio a bit. Those shots look beautiful, but I notice in those (and also the ones from other cities in Texas) that the distance between everything is extremely squished, but I understand why that's done. SCS still does not understand that what is important is the road, the routes. The asphalt, the signs, the road markings, junctions, driving situations and the coherent AI. It does not matter to create a beautiful environment for photos without first focusing the creation on the points that I have mentioned.

I can always rely on SCS to give a realistic immersion and a realistic map, Realism and immersion are key to giving a great experience. I consider myself an armchair urbanist, and this game shows why Truckers are so crucial to our society, but yet go unnoticed, I feel happy to know at least someone gives a rip about these guys who travel their countries hauling equipment to and fro, Cheers!
