American woman arrested in Turks and Caicos speaks out

Police there say a few rounds of ammunition were found in her luggage. She's now telling her story as she is detained in the country.

​@@AsshatterI agree. You have no way to prove that as soon as the camera went off, you didn't open that suitcase right back up and put additional items inside. In theory it's a great idea but it's completely worthless unfortunately. There's a new business venture for us! We need to come up with some kind of security tape that once we've closed our luggage we can put a piece of tape over the buckle or zipper (or wherever it closes) so that when we get to the airport and they decide to open it, we have proof of what we packed. Obviously it would have to be associated with the video we took.... Maybe an app that links up to the tape? I know this sounds ridiculous and I'm actually just trying to be funny but look at technology now- In 5 years I'm going to be wishing I had actually moved forward with this when someone else does and is now a multi-millionaire. 😂

​​@@AsshatterI agree that it's a way for US to know whether or not it's been opened since we packed it but, it's not a way to prove to security or the police that we didn't put the ammunition or the drugs or the next door neighbor's dog in the luggage before we put the security tape on it. So what if they pull my suitcase out of line and I tell them, "Wait a minute, look there, that tape has been torn! Someone has been in my luggage!" Prove it. Honestly the only way to cover yourself is to videotape you packing an empty bag that you have gone through, including removing the lining, on video prior to packing. You then close the suitcase and wrap the security tape around it. You pick it up and leave the house and that suitcase never leaves your hand again until you arrive at the security station at the airport.... And not once have you stopped filming. Again, that's absolutely ridiculous but how else are you going to prove that you didn't put anything in that luggage? The security tape isn't going to jump up and testify for us, LOL.

Because bullets can't be as easily traced like a firearm can be. I would be less suspicious if the officials found a gun registered to the person who owns the bag. Instead, there is just bullets, which are useless without the gun. Why would there just be bullets without a gun that used them. I am thinking that the inspection slipped in the bullets.
