Went there every summer from 81 to 92. Never had a better time anywhere else as a kid. Really sad that it's gone.

It's coming back Monroe got a plan of 10 million dollars and they're gonna put a park back there again it's all over the news

Your video definitely takes me back... my heart hurts for what Americana has become.... people fly drones over the old abandoned park, KZbin Americana drone ... weird they even drained the lake... its now a grassy field.... our family used to go there quite often when i was younger...

I guess my memory is a bit off I didn't realize Americana was still around in 1998, I was 18 that year so maybe i was too busy to notice but I definitely remember that place

MissAmazanda they reopened for a small time after the fire but they didn't make the money they used to and had to close.

Took my kids when they were little! 'It was more of an Indiana Beach or Coney Island type park. Small, reasonable,geared to kids & families
