Granted ,Spider got way too high which made his comments/questions and train of thought way to slow and long winded. It is a great conversation for black and brown to have especially down south where division between the two is more prevalent to help bridge the gap. Up here in the North black and brown have worked together for much longer for whatever reason but for whatever reason things have worked. Good job AC on starting the open line of communication, but even though I know you were happy and excited that it happened you do need to allow your guests to finish their piece before you come back with a rebuttal

This is the perfect example of what the relations are between the two of us. We try to be cool and they act just like AC smh.

Gil you should be disgusted the way i am with yourself the way you behaved through this podcast because these brothas came correct and you were disrespectful and acted like a clown you owe these brothas and your viewers an apology and whatever your on thats causing you to behave like this you need to put it aside when your on you tube because you failed at representing raza

Gil only talks over people when he feels he’s superior to the person who is trying to get their point across. When Immortal Technique was a guest, Gil was quiet af.
@PiyankeKemetyu2 ай бұрын
I'm confused why he would think he's superior to anyone? He's overweight, and isn't really that smart
@MrGil19772 ай бұрын
Nah! Immortal tech talked too much. He should stick to music and not interviews. 😂

I think the black dudes carried themselves more professional and respectful 1:21:59 that Gil. With all due respect but Gil was acting like black men are accused of behaving when clearly these men conducted themselves like gentlemen.

Gil I lost a lot respect for you. You were wrong. You can’t tell people how to feel About a word that your not allowed to use. I’m sure you were just being argumentative and it was a bad look.

Probably not the best decision to argue with somebody who’s still holding a grudge a decade later towards 50, for being signed to G Unit and not blowing up!? And is drunk every time he pulls up somewhere 😂 it’s just a waste of time!

Spider Loc could have really flipped the whole conversation. For example, are we guests in Basketball, because of Dr. James Naismith? However, the concept of basketball, various indigenous people had it hundreds of years before James Naismith named it Basketball - which he actually was playing it with a Soccer Ball, and he took rules from the old Rock Tossing game. Even The Mayans basically had a combination of soccer and basketball in one sport. HipHop. Puerto Rico’s dominant culture and local religion is an African culture and religion, they just so happen to have been colonized by the Spanish whereas we got colonized by The English. But they are from The Caribbean. It’s different. That is why they were able to function in the birth of HipHop. There is literal old film video of Northern Nigerian breakdancers, from the 1950s, before HipHop existed. Not just “similar,” it’s the EXACT SAME floor rock and power moves as what breakdancers were doing. I grew up in The South, our regular staple foods are basically Nigerian food. Same for Caribbean people. Puerto Rican, Cuban, Haitian, Brazilian religion is West African religion - even if they practice it under the outer appearance of Catholicism. Santeria, Lucumi, Candomble, Vodou. Even Catemaco, Veracruz, Mexico. Colombia. Many Afro-Latinos can still speak Yoruba. At the end of the day, we are all colonized people with indigenous roots. We have no reason to beef. Even in Mexico, Afro-Mexicans fought at a high level in the revolution against Spain. Like Vicente Guerrero. Simon Bolivar had help from Touissant and Dessalines from Haiti. African freedom fighters against Europe got support from Cuba. The Black Power Movement got support from Cuba, Vietnam, Indonesia and China. Tupac’s step father Mutulu was doing his work to heal the hood through his teacher that taught him Chinese acupuncture. The Panthers had Japanese Guy Kurose teaching the kids martial arts and it was a Chinese who helped got the weapons. It was a Japanese woman Yuri Kochiyama who helped make Malcolm more international, and The Bandung Conference of African Asian Unity in Indonesia that inspired him which he mentions in his speeches many times. It was Yuri holding Malcolm X head before he died, trying to keep him from choking on his own blood. Then the fed, who was faking as his bodyguard gave him CPR to accelerate his death. Freedom has always been won through collaboration. HipHop is the birth child of that reality, born from the Black Arts Movement, Harlem Renaissance / Jazz Age, The Third World Movement, Black Power Movement, and yes, The Fania All Stars too…Afro-Latinos like Celia Cruz.

A zoot suit (occasionally spelled zuit suit[1]) is a men's suit with high-waisted, wide-legged, tight-cuffed, pegged trousers, and a long coat with wide lapels and wide padded shoulders. It is most notable for its use as a cultural symbol among the Hepcat and Pachuco subcultures. Originating among African Americans it would later become popular with Mexican, Filipino, Italian, and Japanese Americans in the 1940s.

Id love to see this conversation with Spoety and Spider had with a better representative/platform for the raza. The disrespect and unprofessionalism by the host made this too frustrating to watch. Muchas gracias to the guests for keeping their composure and for demonstrating respect amidst the disrespect.
