False. The accents are not the same, with the exception of Boers and Basters. Botswana people sound similar to South Africans, because Tswana is widely spoken in both countries.

I imagine it's like Americans and Canadians. Big city Canadians sound quite similar to Americans and outsiders but Americans can still hear the differences on certain vowels.
