Homemade RGB led Controller | Making RGB LED

Making of RGB led mixer or controller for rgb leds.
the circuit its in video and for making the circuit you need npn transistor 3x 2n3904,3x 220kohm resitors,3x 5kohm pots and usb male connector,
this circuit can be used for ordinary rgb leds and for rgb led strip.

Are the transistors just there so no current will flow once the potentiometer is turned down far enough? Could they be removed and have the leds just on the potentiometers?

Not sure about how much this circuit eat away power or how long it can support. Its not much of how long the strip is, but how much current draw it demands. You can find that out from the manufacturer of the strip or trying to find the datasheet for the led element it self, but for the potentiometer long as its same value it should be fine, just find data sheet for knob version he uses and one you plan to use, compare and look right points. Least this is my understanding

If you need constant current you need to use mosfet, check circuits on web, make calculations and you're done
