All you need to do is remove valve covers, and use a wedge tool. You do not have to remove manifold or timing cover. I’ve done this job. Used a zip tie on each cam gear to hold the gear in same position. I used the wedge tool to hold chain in place.

rdvalla did you install the aftermarket springs and retainers or did you just put the cams in with the stock springs and retainers and that was it?

You cannot get a wedge tool to fit in a 4.6 2v. I tried it and it's IMPOSSIBLE.

On another video they state the factory PI cam is about 201 degrees intake, and 210 degrees exhaust duration. I wish they would be more consistent in their information. As a side note, in this video, they are correctly stating the actual duration of the factory PI cams.

I have a 2006 Crown Vic police interceptor and I would like to know would I need a stall converter and a gear swap with these cams and what is the redline rpm for these cams/what would my shift points need to be?

You should be fine a Lincoln Town car has them on KZbin with just bolt ons & 3.73 rear gears

The police package already has a pretty high stall you would need to be making over 600hp imo before requiring a new converter

Question, so are these all ready to degreed? Also is fuel mileage greatly effected? I was just curious because I do take it out of town on longer road trips, and the fuel is milage is pretty good. Im only planning on cams, springs and tune, I may do intake throttle body and injectors if needed, but I'm not too sure yet.

La_Lobo_Negra I believe all of the ford's 4.6 2v engines were the same blocks and heads but depending on the car the intake manifolds were different. Is this for a F-150?
