This guy is a legend and only a glimpse of his skill is seen here, the amount of fakes he throws in combination with great footwork and balance he will throw anyone to the floor. With a 309 win and only 41 losses record I think it speaks for itself this is in 5 different weight divisions, hes a 5 ft 4 in, 146 lb guy challenging people in 5 different divisions, often fighting larger opponents then himself and look at his record. One of the greatest fighters ever. *edit* One of the best fakes he throws is shown in great example at 6:38 he fakes throwing a front kick (teepkick) and his opponent reacts to it like a front kick trying to grab his foot with his left arm but at the moment Saenchai is in perfect position to front kick him, he shifts his body in a split second to the side to land a highkick, simply incredible.

The things on their hands in place of the gloves are called chard chuek. They're hemp ropes wrapped around their hands. To fight with them, you need really good technique, because power is going to come through no matter what wearing them. They cut you up really bad too. There are legends from way back of them dipping these things in tree sap, and then rubbing them in ground up seashells. The end fight in the movie Kickboxer with Van Dam has them both doing something similar based on this.

When Muay Thai boxers are in the ring, it's a sport. So, there's a win and lose. Once the match ends, there are no hard feelings, and they respect each other and can be friends. The important thing during the fight is that if one falls, you'll have to stop and let him get back first so they can box like gentlemen.

He was practicing Muay Thai since he was a young boy. He was 8 years of age when he started practicing it. He's considered the absolute best there is in that martial art.

That's not a glove. But it's a small rope. Wrap it around your hand instead of a glove. The pain was beyond imagination. So hard it's like hitting your face with a stick. It burns your skin just as it stings your face.
