thing is basketball gets boring cuz theres constant scoring, so its not special unless it goes down to the wire last minute, but football is low scoring so each goal u celebrate like crazy, makes it more tense by far. but some games are crazy 7-0 6-1, 8-0, 9-0 etc

This sport isn't high scoring, so every goal you score is special. Score a single goal in Football and it's like scoring 30 points in basketball. Doing a hat trick in Football (one player scoring 3 goals), however, is like scoring 100 points in basketball. Average amount of goals per game in football is only 2.7. Earlier this year when Sweden and Spain played each other in the group stages of the Euro 2021 (since the Euro 2020 was delayed) no team scored. Sweden 0-0 Spain. Had Berg not missed an open goal and Isak had pulled off that 3v1 we could have won by 2-0. But had we not had Robin Olsen between our posts, we could just as well had lost. Spain was the team everybody thought would win their group but I later found out that I could have won quite a lot of money if I put 1000SEK on my own damn country. Sweden won the group and the others came in this order: Spain, Slovakia, Poland.

03:10 yep many have hit the post with their head, in the 50's the Manchester City Keeper banged his head on the post, and did not know until after the game , he had broken his neck (Vertebrae , not the nerves), the won the cup 1-0 so my guy played the entire game pretty much with a broken neck and did not let a goal in...THAT is tough!!!

To your point of low scoring, yes sure it is usually. But the goals have way more value than like points in basketball for example. A 1-1 game might be filled with hella chances, what we call an open game meaning end to end football. International football is usually slower too, so if you've only watched that you should try a Premier League game or something.

A lot of Goal keepers are quite tall too, 6'2 up to 6'7, not tall by NBA standard, but some of them have enough height and more than enough bounce that they could be formidable defenders in NBA. I also think USA produces a lot of good Goal Keepers because of B-Ball, Football using the hands, and also Goal Keeping in Ice Hockey has many similarities. Lets not forget how good MJ was at defending and he was 6'6 , its possible, great vert jumping required , Goal Keepers have that for sure. I works the other way, so I think you guys are right Soccer/Football Goal Keepers would be clamping on a Basket ball court
