There are sooooo many things that I want boomer to react to. I've been asking him to do 'shooting stars' for months now. For me it's one of the best and funniest shows we have/had. Vic and Bob are just absolutely hilarious. And let's not forget Georgy Doors! Played by Matt Lucas , who is the wife in this sketch. (I know that you know that, just saying for people who aren't familiar with it, ie boomer). And he needs to see 'Never mind the buzzcocks' best bits aswell. Boomer is flying through a lot of our shows at quite an impressive speed!. But he's only just scratched the surface. There are so many shows and comedians he is yet discover. It'll keep him busy for years! Haha.

For those that don't know, little britain is a sketch show, but it is basically set around village life. With this Happy Couple, the wife is played by Matt Lucas, and the husband is David Walliams, who is now not only an accomplished comedian/actor but also an author. Plus he is one of the judges on Britain's Got Talent.

David Walliams and Matt Lucas, David the tall guy ,matt the other guy. They have lots of different characters in little Britain, it's mostly a sketch show. Some of their characters were banned. Both of these guys have done a lot of other stuff independently. Very talented people.

Have a search for "Little Britain - Bitty -5- U S A Bitty" I see the squeak has survived. 1:25 There were multiple series and, I think the last, was more based in the US for some reason. Either they were releasing it on BBC America or they hoped to sell it over there. DON'T show this sketch to the Queen, if she takes it the wrong way, you're finished. 5:54 She isn't a she, she is Matt Lucas, star of stage and screen and often in women's clothing.

I've not seen those characters before, but I laughed as hard as you did! Look out for other Little Britain sketches - Lou and Andy, Fat Fighters, Vicky Pollard, Dafydd the Only Gay in the Village, and Computer Says No. The guy who does the voiceover is Tom Baker, who was the fourth man who played Doctor Who on TV in the 70s and early 80s. His lines in LB are mostly complete nonsense!

Here in Windermere in the English Lake District it's the same, things are more likely closed on a Monday. It's because this is a tourist destination and they don't want to miss out on weekend business when people are off work, maybe Florida was the same at some point and they just kept it that way. :)

We in Britain do not work on Mondays also, its not a well known thing but if you are in the motor racing industry or any other industry that races weekends then you do not open your premises on Mondays as weekends are for racing. So Monday is a day of rest, not Sunday. I used to go out with a girl from Florida and her dad did not open for business due to the company racing motorbikes the weekend. Also lot of motorbike shops in England are closed on Mondays.
