Connections: Roy's lady friend at the start is Alice Lowe, marvellous comic actor - you should definitely check out her hilarious black comedy film 'Sightseers'. Alice was at Cambridge University with David Mitchell and Robert Webb, as well as Richard Ayoade ('Moss'). After uni, she and Ayoade, alongside fellow graduate Matthew Holness wrote and starred in Channel 4's 'Garth Marenghi's Darkplace' - definitely worth a view. Matt Holness was in the first episode of Friday Night dinner, when he came to buy a sofa. Darkplace also starred Matt Berry, who you will find will be playing Reynholm's son - Berry has a whole rabbit hole of excellent material to explore!

I watched for quite a while now... This is just feedback.. Not being nasty... This was more a day in the life of a couple interrupted by something they didn't want to watch. If they had concentrated on it for more than a minute at a time, they might have enjoyed it. 30:30 In the best of UK sitcoms it's all about getting to know the characters, and not just a series of gags and zingers. One of the funniest "Moss" scenes ever is when he's a witness in a trial, and is asked by the barrister "Your name is Maurice Moss, is it not?" and you can see the waves of confusion going through his mind as he works out whether the correct answer is yes or no :-) The ten seconds of silence is the funniest thing ever, but only once you get to know him.

There is an US-version ofcthis, with Ayoade going Moss again, that guy from Community and some gal being Janny. I do get that UK-Jenny is a bit.. Theatrical-based character, which the US-Jen was not (more "normal").. But you know what? US-Jen is boring. The whole US-version just can't compete with the original (and it was stopped after a few episodes of Season 1).
