1:35 South Korea had placed toilet trash bins for used toilet paper, but since 2010s, they started removing it. It was a custom due to the past when toilet water was not that strong and also toilet paper didn’t get loosened easily in the water. But as time went by, toilet papers and loos all developed much better. So, the custom was no more needed that public authorities began to remove toilet trash bins. And I think if you stuff a massive amount of toilet paper in and then flush it, it's probably going to clog up. This is pretty much no different from toilets in any other developed nation.

As a Korean living in Korea , there are few things that are not correct . For the toilet paper , you can flush the paper down that was during the 90's and early 2000's . Nowadays , all stalls don't clog when you flush down the toilet paper . opening the door with two hands is false . Just open normally . Use two hands to accept and give to strangers and older people .

Another rule is don't eat in public unless at a food stall. Also it's considered rude to use your fingers to eat only spoons and chopsticks. As well as don't tip ur waiter when u eat out and when u get food delivery many times your food will arrive in real bowls and plates and u must wash them and leave them outside the door so they can be reused again.

I think the young man in the video is misinformed in a few things especially regarding the toilet paper. Even the Korean sign that he showed in the video said to only flush the toilet paper in the toilet and discard any other materials in the designated bins so I don't get why he said that you're not allowed or can't flush the toilet paper which didn't make any sense. I would advise you to flush the used toilet papers instead of dumping in the bin. I've lived in Korea for many years in the past and there were no such rules or custom. Although it's true, it is customary to give and receive things with both hands especially to elders but it's not necessary with close friends of similar age and you don't have to open and hold the doors with both hands either but you're expected to open and hold the door for elders or guest to go in or out first. I advise you to double check your sources. Hope you have a safe and enjoyable trip to Korea!
