RJ is such a main character😭😭and Jin would bring RJ around everywhere, either as a plushy or pillow or like on a key ring/chain. Several celebrities have also been seen with Chimmy or Koya products, it's all really cool!! IRL, i've seen a few people use BT21 products without knowing it was by BTS, but before that it was a great way to detect another army👀

Fun fact, Seokjin has been drawing a version of RJ for years prior to BT21. He also had a pink Alpaca that was fairly infamous. And then there was the 2016 (I think it was) April fools twitter "fight" with Namjoon where Seokjin changed there official page to pics of sand foxes saying Namjoon had the same expression, so in retaliation Namjoon changed it to alpacas saying Seokjin looked like one 🤣🤣 Also one of my favourite sound bites is Seokjin trying to pronounce 'alpaca parka' 🤣🤣He's so adorable.

BT21 started as just characters for emoticons to the LINE friends that is a message app, and then now they have like plushies, keyrings, phone cases and they even have like a KZbin channel and they are really like animation with voices and stuff, they also "debuted" last month i think and they sang and rapped, and it was actually a banger tbh 😂 they also have short video telling their stories before they got together!! And BTS reacted to it too, hope you can watch it all, it would be so cool and funny!!

My favorite one is RJ. The jin's one. BUT I CAN NEVER GET ONE BECAUSE THEY GETS SOLD OUT IN SECONDS !!!! The last main merch of RJ took only 9 secs to get sold out. BT21 spreaded so much that it is more than now just part of BTS. They have their collaboration, they have their own shops and stuff people think it's trendy. Also they are the only group I stan after BTS. I believe they may or may not have surpassed them too..idk

When I went to LA for BTS’ concert, my friends and I went to the LINE store to buy BT21 merch and the line was literally around the city block and it took us almost 4 hours to get into the store. The store was on Hollywood blvd and people walking by kept asking what the line was for and people would say “BTS” and they’d go “oh that’s why the line is so long-BTS is here” and then we’d be like, “no, we’re l waiting to buy plushies and key chains of characters they designed…” haha. Mang is my favorite and then RJ and Koya but I have a couple of each. But I have so much Mang stuff and even have a tattoo of Mang on my calf. RJ is the most popular. So much so that the LINE Store will do pre-releases of RJ and even gave Jin a life size version.

In Asian cultures, calling someone a "horse" or a "horse face" is an insult cos it basically represents a long, unattractive face. Back then people used to hate on Hobi calling him "J-horse", mocking his looks and saying it does not fit the Korean beauty standards. The reason for Jhope to pick Mang is quite personal and emotional. Mang wears a mask just like jhope did during their debut days (he wore a heavy mask covering his face in the "No more dream" MV) . He once even left the company because of all the hate he received. That's the underlying reason why he said he wants to change the stereotype around horses as they are beautiful creatures. You'll find many other instances where he then referred to himself as"J-horse" while laughing and smiling cos he wanted to turn it around into something light-hearted and not negative.

Actually in the Bon Voyage in Malta, you guys just watched, they use a lot of BT21 stuffs. For example, their cute pajamas that they use often in that bon voyage are their own BT21 character. and you will see Jin carrying around RJ (his character) plushie a lot, everywhere. In 2017, the line store opened in NY Times square, so it is pretty popular amongst ARMY in America. Line friends are pretty big as they are related to a chatting platform that is predominantly used in Korea. Line have a lot of stores, and I once went to the one in Korea, it was very cute, and there are a lot of other iconic Line characters like Ryan (used to be RM's favourite). My personal fav is cooky, cause it's pink and it's cute, I bought a cooky laptop bag and keychain back when i visit korea, i use it everyday to class now. Also, in the part 2, they will make storylines for each character, and it becomes an animation that u can found on youtube now.

I'm sorry. I couldn't help but laugh when Stephanie said, "I bet at least one of you has all of them..." Probably all of us? And multiple, multiple versions - plushies, socks, shirts, slides, pillows, computer mouses, earbuds, dog collars, utensils, toothbrushes, etc... the list goes on forever. Imagine it...and there's a BT21 product for it. I personally have all of them tattooed around my right ankle. All done by different artists so it follows the idea. The first one I got was Chimmy after the Love Yourself concert in Ft. Worth in 2018. It was peer pressure. I'm not a cutesy person. But I liked it. RJ is my BT21 bias. RJ is so cute! Cooky is my second favorite and then TaTa. I think it's absolutely hilarious that all Suga really managed to do was draw a face, so they put a circle around it and said, "It's a cookie!" Shooky is my mother's favorite, lol. And I think Shooky is the absolute cutest in costumes, like when they made Tiger Shooky for year of the tiger, or Rabbit Shooky for year of the rabbit.

They really did Suga's dirty by making his drawing into a cooky. It's like they just made it an extra character even tho Suga said he wanted it to be like Holly (His dog). I had to pause and say when they were telling Tae that no one would use Tata (His character) even as a free emoticon, they truly underestimate the misfits out here. XD I have a hoard of Tata that amazes even me. To me he's a special character because he thinks and talks different and is an alien trying to fit in with the others and that's how I feel. He also changes his shape to suit/help the others, which to me makes me think of when I'm masking. Also my 2nd fav is Mang for similar reasons. Also even before BT21, I was a fan of the messenger Line and the main characters of Line Friends such as Brown, Sally, Moon, ect. so it does have some reach, but you're right in that it isn't very common outside of Asian based cultures

so a sad fact is that hobi received a lot of hate after debut by kpop stans, he was called too ugly to be an idol, antis even trended 'jhope leave bts' on twitter to get him kicked out and if I remember correctly one common insult was that he looks like a horse. I frankly do not understand why, ig kpop stans saw bts as such a threat they threw all kinds of shit at them to see what would stick they were so small with such a small fandom that the hate was actually being heard and not swept away by love like today
