I love this song! It sounds really great! Then found with English subtitles. So going back to listen all the songs I already like because of well they are put together good easy beats, how they keep connecting with each other, then listen reading subtitles. Another layer of love on their music. I never really cared for rapping. Didn't hate it but never listened, not interested. Then BTS comes along and inserts rapping in with the vocals ........I don't mind one bit.

I read the comments on another video that you are the PAUSE KING! lolllll. You did great in this one as well. I wouldnt worry too much about not giving enough feedback. A couple pauses here and there with your insight is just perfect! And you're spot on - BTS music is really a melting pot of so many genres from pop, rock, latin, rap, hip hop etc. Typical KPOP sound can be classified as bubblegum pop, which is totally different from what BTS is doing and that is why they have become a genre of their own. Many have attempted to put them in a box, and have failed - BTS is the genre.

This is 4 years old but classic and iconic - MMA 2019 - they turned that award show into a 40 minute BTS Concert and they were written up in every large Newspaper with an Arts & Entertainment Section in the US and a few magazines as well. The stages were magnificent and they took on the personas of Greek Gods to dance and sing on them. It was a show worthy of the coliseum. The album was MOTS Persona, it had 10 songs and they did all of them plus... Btw, don't be afraid of doing reactions to long BTS videos or performances. We love showing off our group to newbies. 🕊😇

Clothing, back in the day they could only afford tee shirts and cheap clothes off the rack. They all agreed that what ever it took to make it, they would agree. They also learned that, even if their clothing isn't quit cool, if it gets people talkin' about them, it is still good for the group. Now, 10 years later, they are spokesmen/models for the biggest designers in the world. Jimin is the spokesperson for both Dior & Tiffany. Jungkook is the spokesman for Calvin Klein. Jhope, signed with Louis Vuitton. My point is: All 7 signed with top designers. the boys who came from the bottom, were made fun of for their clothes in their first years of performing, are now performing in designer clothes.

It's not true. Even when they were financially short, their stylists made sure to use high-end brands like Off-White and Versace on stage,(Not copy) and at the time, they accused Antis of wasting unnecessarily on company property on clothes. This is true because I experienced it in Korea in 2013. Perhaps they were mistaken that their personal clothes were not expensive. They were students and they were short of income, so couldn't afford expensive clothes, but they were different when performing.

fun fact: jimin was the last member to join the group. he was the only member that did not receive vocal training. he had to watch the other members receive their training and learn from it himself. in a matter of 6 months he managed to snatch both lead vocalist and main dancer positions, some of the most important positions in the group. his dancing was the reason the group started gaining popularity. jimins blood sweat tears intro is what made bts finally blow up and eventually break out into the west

"Proof" live performance is really nice!! It was filmed in US, 2022, just around their announcement for "little break". However if you want to watch what they are really doing on the stage, then go to "MMA 2018". It would be good start!

Thank you for your insights Nathan.. Its really exciting to watch professionals reacting to our boys. These boys are more than just performers for ARMYs. They're way beyond that. They are amazing artists. Great performers, producers and lyricists. Theyre also great people. Equally amazing human beings. ARMYs age range is quite diverse. From young ones to thise ebmven in their 80s. And all are extremely protective of BTS. BTS is phenomenal and ARMY equally so. Many universities, behavioral professionals, companies have tried to 'decipher' the BTS formula coz its just unique. You wouldnt even believe it if we enumerate it one by one. I myself was one of the skeptics when i started learning about BTS a few yrs back. I thought, they couldnt possibly be real and all these are just publicity stunts. Boy, was i so wrong. LOL they love having fun and just enjoying the music, whether on stage or in a room. at about 6:15 Jimin was holding his mic like a flute because the name of the song is "Pied Piper" 🥰 It's ok to get lost in them. We all do. 😂 My personal biased opinion is they aren't just a vocal group any more than they are a "boy band" - no offense to either boy bands or vocal groups. LOL. They are artists and performers. In his most recent solo tour, SUGA performed some of his songs with guitar and piano (him playing while singing and rapping). They sing and rap and dance and engage in ways I've never really experienced before them and do it in such a genuine and honest way. Not saying a word sometimes is the best reaction to me. Because the expressions on people faces are louder than words. It is called reactions and not commentaries after all. Jimin is with the high vocal, his natural talking voice is pretty low. His modern dance training certainly prepared him for the strength of his diaphragm but most importantly the tone of his voice is AMAZING ❤ I myself have a soft spot for the rappers. These guys are real rappers, non kpop rappers. But Jimin’s voice is something else ❤ Thanks for your reaction ❤

BTS is a 7 member group who is now in their 10th year with a 350+ track discography largely written and produced by the members themselves conjoined by their inhouse producers. The leader 'RM' has 210+ credits making him the youngest most credited artist in Korea and the rest of the members are not far behind. BTS is known for being extremely profound at articulating what they introspect and composing it into the sound they with their artistic knowledge believe will deliver the emotion of their lyricsm. They began with their roots in hiphop but have experimented their way into currently having above 10+ genres in their discography with the main being hiphop, pop, r&b and electronic, but majority of the time its a fusion of these genres, or their subgenres. Like latin pop, old school hiphop with boom bap, rap rock, dance pop, ballads, emo hiphop, jazz etc. Since they articulate so well, their music is very human oriented adressing extreme mental health issues (all they way from comforting, motivating, to eery delivery with raw mvs that youtube asks for viewers discretion), sociopolitical commentary etc. Their discography shows the growth from school boys to the tribulations of youth, to addressing temptation, to reaching maturity, to loving onself, to finding the core essence of the mind (i work in the field of psychology and i have yet to find an artist that is as profound as bts in accurately potraying psychological themes) to fighting the pandemic to now doing solo albums as each of the bts members complete their mandatory military. Just stumbled upon your reaction. 49 year old Army here and toddler Army. Never been into Kpop before BTS. Never into boyband either, before BTS. I’m sure there are heaps of talented Kpop artists out there. Got to know some of them because of BTS. But my boys have been putting out a lot of music and some of them need unpacking (which I enjoy doing), so a working adult like me will hardly have time for any other Kpop. Hi Nathan, I was pleasantly surprised to have found your channel. I listened to Plus One a lot when I was in college in 2000-ish. Last Flight Out is one of the best boyband songs ever. Now I'm over 40, and listen to BTS a lot, and I enjoy your reactions 👍👍 Boyband concept has evolved from 1990s through today, from NKOTB to K-pop groups. Every era has their own relevance. There are many great K-pop groups nowadays, they can sing, dance, and visually look good. But there are reasons why BTS are on top of the game.

something i absolutely love about their more relaxed recorded performances is how you can clearly see them simply enjoying their own songs. most artists would stay in their designated seats & give a clean performance but BTS cant sit still when the music starts playing. no matter what, these guys will inevitably jump up & start dancing. you can see this in the NPR Tiny Desk Concert & other live room performances as well. they just love what they do so much.

" (8:52) The thing is, just at that moment j-hope (wearing shorts😉) was rapping, and he's the rapper who probably thought those exact words, pre-2013. He was a fantastic street dancer, part of an underground dance group, winning a national contest, but had never rapped until he became a trainee and learned from RM and Suga. They all help each other and learn from each other.💜

I think my favorite KZbin genre has quickly become watching professionals fall in love with BTS. You've made an excellent choice reacting to some of their live medleys first. Some of the absolute best representations of all of their discography, new and old! My top live performance recommendation has got to be the 2018 Melon Music Awards (MMA) performance of their song "Idol". True artistry on full display. Was THE performance that solidified my status as a fan. Highly recommend checking it out.

Thanks for accepting our recommendations ❤ I was sure you'd like it! The three rappers are excellent, everyone on his own style. To know better the rapline, I'd recommend listening to Ugh (the rap they sang here) That song talks abour anger, how it's a powerful force to change the unfair things that happen in the world, but at the same time it's used in a bad way by haters. To know better the vocal line, I'd recommend House of Cards, one of my favorite songs.

One thing I love is how Jungkook (the guy with the purple hair and purple mic) has perfect pitch but never talks about it. (Confirmed by Charlie Puth). he values the decade+ of hard work just as much as his natural talent. Suga, one of the 3 rappers of BTS, has always said that out of all the people he’s worked with, Jungkook is the most talented. Jungkook has golden vocals. He’s perfect and a hard worker and is always trying to do better. He blows me away. And Seokjin (or Jin) has the voice of a god. He has the richest, fullest tone and can belt out the most emotionally stirring ballads. V has a voice like velvet, like silk, like melted chocolate. But his range, phew! He can also go so high. Jimin, your current fave because of his delicate high pitch, is the epitome of unique. I love hearing his mixed tones of sweet and sultry and strong. The vocal line is just such a perfect mesh of different tones, styles, textures, and techniques. You can hear their different influences and color, as well as their passion. Their synergy is intoxicating and can never be replicated. BTS is a once in a lifetime match. With the four vocalist, paired with the three rappers who also have deliciously varied and rich rapping styles, they make the best group you can possibly experience. Their know-how, their hard work, their passion and genuine love for each other and for Army’s is truly so remarkable and special. And it’s clear in their music. It’s palpable. I hope you continue this journey with us. Discovering BTS is one of the best things that ever happened to me. I’ve seen them live 3 times (and saw Suga on tour this year) and have never been more impressed and grateful to have experienced them in person. Can’t wait to see more. 💜

Thanks for the reaction. This is one of my favorites. It's virtually impossible for them to sit still. I love it! I love how in this vid it's like they're just jamming in someone's living room. They really feed off each other and covering so many genres yields nothing but success! Thanks again. Can't wait for you to get to their MV's that require massive interpretation. It’s okay bts fans don’t really care if you don’t talk a lot over the video and give feedback. We enjoy watching you watch and learn. It’s sometimes rough for us watching reactions where things are talked over and missed and then that reactor asks questions or makes comments about the band that could’ve been answered by the video they watched. There’s a lot to be learned from these guys and about these guys and their music so you don’t have to fill the space with lots of comments. We prefer substance. Quality comments over quantity. You’ll see reactor’s slowly lose views because they never catch on to this and don’t know they are frustrating the viewer. Also good luck with other K-pop bands I haven’t found any I would recommend but I’m sure some others have some

Hello, you just jumped into the rabbit hole 😂 I really like your reactions, they're genuine and don't worry if you can't tell who is who...you'll learn naturally 😊 BTS don't really have just a specific genre, you will be able to listen to various types of music in their discografy (both as BTS or solo projects). I really recommend you their japanese songs if you are interested in their vocals. If you will listen to 'Your eyes tell', 'Film out', 'Stay gold' live performances, you will hear the different textures of their tones and how freaking high their voices can go. All their japanese songs are just *chef kiss* 🤌🏻 I really reccomend you too 'The truth untold' feat. Steve Aoki, which is in korean and is performed by the vocal line (so there will not be rap parts), where you can listen to Jungkook's adlibs, Jimin's angel voice, V's soulful deep notes and Jin's powerful belting and vibrato. Rappers don't sing that often, (sometimes we can see J-hope and Jungkook harmonising just how happened in the Tiny desk live performance and here in the BTS Room festa) but they are incredible song writers. Hope you'll enjoy this beautiful long trip 🤗

I didn't see if someone explained to you what Festa is. It's a celebration annually of their beginnings. They do something fun and different every year, or at least they did up until now when they're doing their own things while some are doing their mandatory military service. They say that their plan is to get back together in 2025 after they are all done serving. Also, I am happy to hear your responses as a producer, since they do a lot of their own production, writing and choreography. For other bands, you could listen to The Rose, they are pretty good...I also like Band Maid, they are a Japanese rock band.

Thank you for your reaction, loved this video! BTS room live had got subtitle in it, in knowing BTS, it is good to explore the lyrics of their songs as well… their songs are known for the messages it sends the fans… also, it is good to know that they compose, produce and write their songs… there are a lot of other kpop groups that dance as well and sing as well, but I am yet to find other groups that encourages their fans to be a better person as much as BTS… And as involved in the production of the songs as them.

That little kick dance they are doing during Save Me, which they also did in the NPR Tiny Desk is a toned down piece of the choreography for that song. Thay can't help themselves. They do it every time. The MV for Save Me is amazing by the way, it's a one shot and I also recommend watching the little behind the scenes video of the making of that MV with it, as it's really cool to see both how they did it and what adverse conditions they were working in.

When people start watching BTS in the beginning they try to remember their hair colors... not a good idea... they change by the song. They did a lot of these small concerts during the Pandemic. But they always did special performances during Festa (the anniversary of their debut date - 061313.) I can't give you any new bands... I guess New Jeans is good but I only heard one song. I'm over 70 and I make tiny videos with BTS content plus I just started another channel where I focus on Climate Change so I don't have a lot of time (or interest) to search out new bands. BTS saved me from a very dull and lonely retirement. And I'm very grateful to them for that. But you shouldn't have a problem finding them - there are a lot of groups that debut every year. 🕊😇
