Hello guys, I hope you will react to video titled : "PERTABALAN AGONG KE-16 | SEMUA RAJA-RAJA MELAYU HADIR Kecuali Johor, Kelantan, Perlis & N.Sembilan" This video is about a coronation of our 16th King of Malaysia also known as 'Yang di-Pertuan Agong'. Don't forget to click on the English subtitle! To get you guys a better understanding: Malaysia practices Parliamentary Democracy with Constitutional Monarchy and His Majesty The King as the Paramount Ruler. The Federal Constitution was legislated with the setting up of conditions for this system to exist. One of the characteristic of Parliament Democracy is the separation of powers into three parts which are the Legislative, the Judiciary and the Executive. Malaysia is also a country that practices a system of Democracy based on the Federation system. In accordance to this the states of Perlis, Kedah, Penang, Perak, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Malacca, Johore, Pahang, Terengganu, Kelantan, Sarawak and Sabah have agreed to the concept of forming Malaysia Each state involved has surrendered part of its power such as financial, defense, education, foreign affairs and others, as stated in the Malaysian Constitution, which is administered by the Central Government. There are matters that are under the power of the state and each state administers the power over those matters. As a country with a Constitutional Monarchy, it is therefore allocated by the Constitution the institutions of His Majesty The King as the Paramount Ruler, the hereditary rulers of the nine states and the Council of Malay Rulers. His Majesty The King has the power to safeguard the customs and traditions of the Malay people and the administration of the Islamic religion in each state. His Majesty The King is the Head of the Islamic religion for the states of Penang, Sabah, Sarawak and the Federal Territories. His Majesty The King is the Highest Commander of the Armed Forces. His Majesty The King carries out his duties under the Constitution under the advice of the Prime Minister and the Cabinet. Meanwhile, the hereditary rulers are Head of State of his own state and carry out their duties under the advice of their Menteri Besar.

Kelantan got it's name when people call this place as KILATAN, kilat means lightning
@MalaysianTropikfusion

Sarawak also got its name by a sultan of Brunei, years ago Brunei had ruled Sarawak before the white rajah came in.The Sultan had giving up the state to the white rajah because they can't handle the problem in the state.And the Sarawak named after a phrase call 'Serah kepada awak',it mean 'give it to you'.If I'm wrong, don't be mad and help me correct it.

Some historians said the phrase call “serah kepada awak” is not valid. But the name was originally from the name of sungai sarawak in kuching. 🤷🏻‍♂️. Sarawak name has been used before the brooke’s era. During sultanate of Brunei era : Sarawak Darul Hana (Not the whole Sarawak but only Bahagian Kuching)

Perak state actually was named because of a river in the state. Back in the old days there's a river with clear waters as clear as silver when it reflects the sunlight during daytime. Therefore people called it as Sungai Perak (Silver River) then later they named the state as Perak.

There are several inaccuracies on the fact presented in that vid actually. lemme help to explain (what i've known, feel free to help me too) I'll put in order :) 1. There are 9 monarchs in 9 states which now act as the head religion and in charge of officially inducting people-voted or the sultan-chosen state parliament and people representatives. YDP Agong is selected between the 9 states in a cycle every 5 years. they are responsible to elect/fire/bombard our Prime Minister and the nation's parliament. 2. KEDAH: they dont have wide mountainside paddy fields. The picture is referring to the country the narrator compare Kedah to. Most paddy fields in Kedah (#1 rice producers) are planted on flat lands. 3. PUTRAJAYA: "Jaya" is a malay word meaning "success". many places named "jaya" as land as success in something. 4. KUALA LUMPUR: KL is literally the muddy (lumpur) land where rivers meet (kuala). It's unique, actually. The place were once a tin mine where water jet pumps were used to corrode the soil to mine tin. eventually they made a somewhat a huge 'crator' surrounded by highlands that places the center city of Kuala Lumpur today. You can appreciate it when you see KL from Genting Highland hillside view at night XD 5. MALACCA: it was found by Parameswara, a royal hailed in SRIVIJAYA, an old kingdom in Indonesia (not Singapore eheh). It was said his entourage had ventured to a fishing village and rest under the Malacca tree. Hunting dogs are fairly large, and it was kicked into a river by a MOUSEDEER (the official state animal). In our folklore, small deers are smart and often outsmart the predators. To witness a small deer kicking a dog multiple times bigger in size is really phenomenal.

In Malaysian monarchy, there are nine Malay rulers in the Malaysia peninsula such as the Sultans, Raja and Yang Dipertuan Besar and this monarch also serve as the head of the Federation of Malaysia known as Yang Dipertuan Agong or you can call it King Of Malaysia. Every 5 years they rotate the throne or this Yang Dipertuan Agong position to allowed one of this monarch to ascend the throne as the Head of State of The Federation of Malaysia. There are also the state in Malaysia that has no monarch as their ruler so the Yang Dipertuan Agong or The King of Malaysia appoint a governor to serve as the state leader or ruler. The state such as Sarawak, Sabah, Melaka and Pulau Pinang has no monarch. In context of Sarawak was rule by the Brooke family for about 105 years before Charles Vyner Brooke, the 3rd and last Rajah of Sarawak ceded or handed Sarawak to British colonial government in 1946 for several reasons.

Ok, talking about the monarchy, here's a simple rundown on our country's monarchy system. Firstly, only 9 out of 13 states have monarchies, these are: -Perlis (northern state) -Kedah (northern state) -Perak (west coast state) -Selangor (west coast state) -Negeri Sembilan (southern state) -Johor (southern state) -Terengganu (east coast state) -Kelantan (east coast state) -Pahang (east coast state) As for the monarch of Malaysia itself, that was elected by the order of state seniority; currently the Yang di-Pertuan Agong (monarch of Malaysia) is the Sultan of Pahang. The order are as follows: -Monarch of Negeri Sembilan, then -Monarch of Selangor, then -Monarch of Perlis, then -Monarch of Terengganu, then -Monarch of Kedah, then -Monarch of Kelantan, then -Monarch of Pahang, then -Monarch of Johor, then -Monarch of Perak, and repeat. Every monarch gets to stay as Yang di-Pertuan Agong for one term, which is about five years, provided that they didn't die during the term or drop out for other reasons (which is what happened before with the previous Yang di-Pertuan Agong, the Sultan of Kelantan.) It's a rotating monarchy, put it simply. And yes, the titles used by the state monarchies is Sultan, with the exceptions of Perlis and Negeri Sembilan, where they're referred as Raja and Yang di-Pertuan Besar. Cheers from an east coast Malaysian here, here, have some cookies

@@enricoaldisuhanto4046 What's the purpose going to Psychiatrist? I suggest you must understand the world history providing the proofs came from Philippines and Malaysia, plus the United Nations knows it already and even it was imprinted in the history. I will definitely admire you if you really understand the word "History Imprinted". The way you act seems like your brain needs more books to swallow. President Quezon said historical documents show that the Sultanate of Sulu, which controlled the Sulu islands in the Muslim southern Philippines, indeed owned a part of Borneo, including Sabah. During the 1700s, the Sultan of Brunei transferred a piece of its land under the control of the Sulu sultanate. Around 1800 to 1850, the Sultan of Sulu then gave a part of its land to another sultan who gave it away to the Dutch. Indonesia, as a successor to the Dutch, later owned the land. The Sulu sultanate then "lost" its remaining land, which was later named Sabah, during the period of European colonialism in 1878 after it was either leased or sold to a British trading company, which remains a controversy up to now. He clarified, however, that under the current arrangement, the heirs of the Sultanate still receive annual payments from Malaysia. No hard feelings just pure knowledge!🤭

@@kurvvv5297 well look who’s talking here, another ultranationalist Philippines People, even Indonesia and Malaysia have a great relationship towards each other, so please just put your hands off from Sabah, oh btw The Sulu territory Map, is also included North Kalimantan, and East Kalimantan Provinces, also along side the State of Sabah, so that’s why I feel that I’m in danger of Suluness, and Philippines ultranationalist that have huge Obsession with Sabah, and it will impact ASEAN peace progress, and one last thing As An Indonesian People, I don’t want your presence in Borneo Island (as it will endanger Indonesia, Malaysia, and Brunei stability) at all, and please just take care with your Mindanao Island first.
