You guys should really try the canned tuna mixed with crushed crackers as "Pulutan". If you can get your hands on the Filipino "Century Tuna Flakes and Oil" Dude, it could change your "Pulutan" game.

there's no need to name a certain food or on-the-go snacks .. as long as the food tolerates you while you're drinking but pulutan or pick up snacks could be: SALTY OR mixed SALTY SWEET OR SWEET & SOUR accompanied usually by MILD OR INTENSE SPICY FEELS just to get the cravings you wanted on a smooth and long talks and booze. FYI THEY FORGOT TO MENTION THE DRAMA KING/QUEEN once the individual is consumed by the alcohol he/she gets emotional or sometimes hysterical loud cries of something or someone he/she remembers or perhaps a totalled heartbreak from his/her ex. And also the one we call THE NARRATOR.. he/she the one's to convey or express stories he/she experience or not at all (just a story he/she heard from another) he/she talks and talks about all things from love life to solar system and heavenly bodies and so on.

He forgot to mention the regurgitator/cheater is usually the precursor of the invisible man/disappearing act. The reason the tanggero inspects the glasses after a person drinks is to make sure he drank all of it. He also makes sure the guy did not regurgitate it into the chaser glass by looking for tell tales like bits of food regurgitated with the alcohol into the chaser glass. He also memorizes the level of consumption of the chaser glass before passing it. With or without tell tales if the level of liquid is higher than when it was drank from usually gets the cheater caught. The penalty is usually a fresh measure of alcohol with no throat soothing chaser drink. Still collecting Filipino food recipes? Here's one tasty food. We call it Pares. Literally translated "pair." kzbin.info/www/bejne/aYjWaY1jiKifpLssi=ntJsPznCPQxJ_CNd Adobong Baboy kzbin.info/www/bejne/qGnTpoZpo7qsadksi=1woFXaDkOWe6cFyk Tortang Talong (very simple) kzbin.info/www/bejne/e2PQY3qfmdetg9ksi=TqRzxNodJWzxEBVP

Chicken oil is literally the chicken grease/drippings from when you cook them. Its a staple condiment from a uniquely Filipino fast food chain called "mang inasal", that is much like your mcdonalds, or ihop. It is essentially concentrated flavoring that is often put on rice like how you put syrup onto pancakes

Another Drinking Ethiquite is even before pandemic, is DO NOT LEAVE you glass in the drinking table during a drinking session as it will get REFILLED. That happened to me. I had to spilt it into 2 and add a chaser (that time was soda) to mellow it down. Also there are instances in a community where there are small drinking sessions scattered and one of the person knows you, you will be "asked" to "Take a shot for the road."

Yep my experience drinking here in the Philippines, on the mountain province of a big family....1st time here, in the evening, they guys would sit at sisters sari sari store drinking. Call me over to "1 Shot" usually beer not liqour, 1 acted as the bartender, we'd pass each new shot around the "circle" Got to be a joke, when 1 or 2 of the brothers, would ask me "Uncle, can I pass?" I'd say "Nooo you cannot pass, you are in the circle, you cannot break the circle" Other times, I'd say "yes ok you can pass, so your wife/gf wont get mad" lol Was fun times.... Now I'm living here amongst them full time, but the drinking has kinda faded from that time. They still drink, I rarely do, and the music's playing or singing into the late hours. Especially, at times of local fiesta's or birthday parties......Now they have a liquor, "a chinese wine" called "Kulafu", which is a pretty strong liquor, when drank straight, says 50% alcohol, and it definitely will put you (me out for the count) if too much drank, the guys here can drink it all day/night, they usually follow a shot with water (I don't) lol

• The chicken oil in the packet is from a famous fast food here in the Philippines, meant to be mixed in with your plate of grilled chicken (inasal) and rice. • You’re right, guys about Bogart being an Aussie character. He does it hilariously and well. 😄 • What wasn’t mentioned here, although shown, during ‘tagay’ is the chaser or the second glass. Typically, it’s a concocted flavored drink, soda or powdered juice.

Yes, this is true but you know, the Philippines has so many islands and regions so drinking with friends and relatives may vary in different places; using common "glass" is very common in the provinces , as they say, to promote camaraderie and friendships but in the cities it's different, you have to use your own "glass" as you guy said 👍💕 MABUHAY!

the chicken oil is the rendered chicken fat which is used to enhance the flavor of the bar chow (pulutan in tagalog) which are usually savory food taken with liquor. most famous pair of the chicken oil is the chicken inasal (barbecued chicken, famous in the visayas region of the philippines). the "pulutan" shown is grilled pork belly, and the one beside it is "sisig" which is sizzling mix of pig face, ears and snout.

Yes, he's playing a character w/c they named Bogart the Explorer. PaperbugTV does a lot of comedy skits but a lot of them are informative as well. Oh, and also eating anything with rice in the Philippines is considered as a full meal. Like for example, many filipinos (especially the older generation) would consider eating burgers and fries as eating snacks; they'd only consider a meal a full one if it has rice w/ it 😅

I recommend starting with her audition for Miss Saigon at 18 y/o. Then follow that up with her rendition of “On My Own” when she was in Les Miserables! She will be your new “rabbit hole”. ❤️🙌
