The red/yellow card thing is basically each sidemen takes turns each week to be in charge of a video (find a venue, find people, props, organise the set etc) you can get a yellow card for being late to set, you get a red card if you’ve had a certain amount of yellow cards in a row or do something really bad, or in this case cheat in the video 😂. But if you get a red card you ‘lose’ a video which means the video you are designated to be in charge of goes to someone else and you lose it. They keep this so that they can all try keep the same amount of videos each and all take turns and rotate. If people have less videos from having a lot of yellow/red cards it means they have to catch up by being in charge of a lot of videos in a row in order to catch up meaning they have a lot of work basically. The aim is to keep everyone having the same amount of videos so that no one has to work overtime to catch up and no one is slacking behind (josh made this up like 2 years ago and they stuck to it since as it’s a good way for them all to work equally) sorry for the long explanation 😂

Just a small thing, that persons video doesnt go to someone else, just their tally of how many videos they have done goes down 1, they still have to do their video. Also side note: Simon runs moresidemen so his tally of how many videos he has done should be lower then everyone elses

Pretty sure you don't lose a video you were incharge of, you lose a video you were already in charge of that has been uploaded so you then have to catch up with another one, if you lost one that hadn't been done yet then nothing big really changes

In regards to JJ and Vik cheating on the train it didn’t really matter anyway because they were over an hour in front plus their extra stop was less convenient because they got off in a smaller area so it didn’t really make much difference in the end

Steph is right about the tube and the train. Most people use them interchangeably like the sidemen did in the video but Steph was right. The tube is underground, runs mostly inside of London and has more stops closer together. The train is faster, goes much further distances and has stops further apart.

They were dropped off OUTSIDE of London and had to find their way back to London and into the city centre. It's practically impossible to get lost inside London unless you're a tourist because they are signs everywhere so they had to start off outside. Essex, Surrey and Herts are towns just outside of London.

So the card system is simply for them to do equal work. They don't cut the pay of their friends due to the cards. They're a close group of friends so it's not that serious. There's a yellow and a red. Since they rotate who does the major planning of each video, if you're late or miss a shoot for a video you get a yellow which means you lose half a video that you previously planned. Red means you lose an entire video. 2 yellows = 1 red. Like in football. I think the red card implementation in this video was just a random stipulation Josh added to deter cheating

It was meant to be a yellow as explained in the bts, but because some people wo had no yellows were talking about just sacrificing 1 yellow to cheat, so it got changed to a red: equal to 2 yellows

Basically the way the yellow and red cards work is Each Sidemen take turns organising a video. Each video is tallied along with who organised them. The videos are given to the sideman with the least amount of organised videos. If you are late to a shoot you get a yellow card. If you get a certain amount of yellows you get a red card. A red card takes one of the videos you organised off your tally, meaning you now have to organise an extra video. You want to do the least amount of extra work possible and red gives you extra work basically

They explained the card system in a side+ video. But it simply takes away one of their videos and gives them to someone else in the sidemen. So they'll not only not make anymore money from that video but they'll have to do extra videos to catchup to the other sidemen since everyone has to be in the same amount of videos which would mean more work for whoever got the red. Harry had(he might still have) the most reds because he didn't understand the card system at first which is why he was in several sidemenreacts videos when the chanel first started to catchup in videos.

Answering some questions: The UK tends not to have street numbers, but street names, which might be easier than numbers, I think. I'm not sure what London is like though, I haven't even been close to London. XIX is Roman Numerals. It represents the 19th of October; the date the Sidemen started (this was filmed on their 8th anniversary). The "red card" is a system they have in place that ensures they work equally and efficiently. A yellow card is a warning and too many yellows can lead to a red. I don't really understand it, but it's explained on Side+ a few times. A sat nav is a satellite navigation device. It's essentially a device with an automated voice which tells you which direction you should turn the car next to get to your destination. The guy with the bike did not say he needed "insurance", he said "assurance", that they wouldn't steal it. Kirsty's role on the Sidemen team is mostly photographer and cameraman, as far as I know. She is in a relationship with Kon.
