The King in the Carpark was Richard the Third. Who was the last English King to die in battle, is accused (but not proven) to have killed his nephews (one of which was Edward the Fifth) in the Tower of London but he was killed in battle against Henry Tudor who became Henry the Seventh who further secured his family’s claim to the throne by marrying Elizabeth of York (sister of the Prince’s in the Tower) and whose second born son became infamous Henry the Eighth after the death of his older brother Arthur and his father.

Britain is quite relaxed about swearing on TV after 9pm but the boat race is in the middle of the afternoon. It was not the sportsman who was criticised, it was the broadcaster for not cutting the audio.

I had a stammer growing up. You can't stammer while singing or shouting, due to the elements of the voice being used. A comedy performance is a rehersed process, so not same level of active thought involved, minimising the risk of stammering.

As amazing as his voice is, Darth Mufasa himself, James Earl Jones, had a debilitating stammer, which is why he still rarely does interviews. His drama teacher in high school discovered that when James actually memorized a script the stammer went away and he could recite it perfectly.

Lab grown meat is completely different to meat free products as in it's grown from meat and not a substitute.
@Cobalt-Jester
@Cobalt-Jester Ай бұрын
Lots of people think that us British were complaining that horse meat was in our ready meals and we were upset because it was horse. That's just not true. We were angry because it said 100% beef on the packet and it wasn't. I've eaten horse meat lots of times. Up here in the North it's called "Kicker". It tastes like beef but less flavour. There's a great video of a taxi dash cam showing the meteor burning up and all he does is pull down his sun visor and carry on like nothing was happening.... A huge space rock comes speeding to Earth and as it explodes in the atmosphere, shattering every window in a 50 mile radius, all you think about is putting the sun visor down. I'd be out of my car and saying to the closet female," look at that. We might only have minutes left.... Wanna fook?" I wouldn't get too deep on questioning Joey Essex, the guy who is not a professional nose blower. He's been on lots of panel shows and it's fairly obvious that he's just a troll. No one can be 30 years old and know less than an 8 year old. Even if you had never been to school your entire life and sat at home all day you'd still pick up the basics. Do you think if you were not toilet trained you'd still shit yourself at the age of 30? He's just a troll. Noel Feilding is now the host of Bake Off. lol. Fred West is a British serial killer... The pub on the M40 is only accessible by cars, lorries, and buses. Let me know when you're coming over. I'd love to meet up, grab a beer. The great thing about living in the UK is you can travel to any place in the UK in just a few hours. You can drive top to bottom in less than a day... There's some people in the US that have to make a 500 mile round trip just to buy groceries. If I drove south for 500 miles I'd be in France. lol. We are a lot easy going with swearing over here. But when it's 1pm on the afternoon and the guy is yelling "fook " during a live boat race... It doesn't go down to well with the snowflakes. As 90% of the British I myself don't mind swearing. 9% of those who don't like swearing will not do anything. but there's that 1% that will write a letter, go and buy a stamp, and then post it to the complaints office... But that's all it takes. Just 1%. I've been to Holland a good few times. Every time I always say "never again"... But then a friend will say, "do you fancy coming over to Holland for the weekend?"... I can't say no... It's so cheap to go over there from the UK. The equivalent of $200-$250 will get you there and back and pay for your hotel room for the weekend (2 nights 3 days). The killer is the bus ride. It's 14 hours. You can get the boat or a plane but that costs more. Simon Cowell does have too much power. All most all of the winners of his shows go on to have the Christmas number 1... I don't keep up with pop music but I think there was some sort of Internet group (maybe 4Chan /b/) that deliberately bought a lot of some obscure song to keep Simon's artist off the top of the charts. As odd as it sounds there's a website that shows nothing but short videos of people sitting on a cake and farting. I don't need to tell you. there's websites for everything. NASA has said that it costs $1 million, that's a million Dollars for every kilogram they send into space. So fook knows how he managed to get a guitar and some HD cameras and a laptop with some editing software up there... I also find it amazing how he can get a decent WiFi signal up in space when I can'y get more that 3 bars and I live less than 2 miles away from the new 5G mast... If you were in any doubt about the British sense of humour, we made Boris Johnson our Prime minister. In all fairness he couldn't be any worse than Theresa May... We knew things were not going great, so as a laugh we all said lets get Boris to steer this shit show... I'm not one for politics. But considering Boris' reputation of being a mop haired bafoon, I think he did an ok job of getting us though Covid. You should look up Harry Hill's TV Burp...

How did Boris Johnson become prime minister? Brexit happened and the role of PM became a political tar baby that politicians had no idea what to do with. There was a period of time where nobody stepped up. Boris Johnson came in very positive and enthusiastic, he said he'd get Brexit done. When parliament, the courts and the civil service tried to stop him, he found a way to cut them off and turn the public against them for not respecting a democratic process. Pre Brexit he tried to become PM many times over a long period of time. He was written off for being a bit of a clown.

more recently there is the me2 ish narrative that people hated Thatcher because "she was a woman with power". But that's (mostly) nonsense,. She was simply an awful nasty (public) person, who's politics turned huge parts of Britain into an economical and social wasteland to this day. Ruining millions of peoples life makes them not like you very much. It is THAT simple. If you look into details on her war against unions and workers, privatization at all costs, and the consequences, is absolutely horrifying.

Those burgers/meat products you mentioned aren't lab-grown, they're just vegan (but more sophisticated recipes than just mushing some soybeans and frying them, in order to better resemble meat). But lab-grown meat (made from animal cells which are then allowed to grow in laboratory conditions) has become much cheaper to produce. In 2022, that £200k+ burger cost just £8, according to some article I found. Should be rivaling real meat soon. They could probably grow heavily marbled meat which would already be cheaper than real wagyu (and might even taste better). Never seen it in shops, though.

Since when has Jonathan Ross been a media mogul? I’m pretty sure he’s a chat show host (since the 80’s) that has branched out into some other types of TV shows, that has invested in the odd production company.

@@esteban280889 I think that’s as much down to the fact that you know what you’re going to get with him as a panelist and he has so many interests including various types of pop culture, music and film. I doubt it has anything to do with the fact that he invested in the production company. Spencer’s constant digs about things he thinks he knows more about than he really does, is just boring…in my opinion.

@lynnejamieson2063
@lynnejamieson2063 Ай бұрын
@@slytheringingerwitch having checked his Wikipedia page, it doesn’t. It does state that he had been involved in the creation of two production companies. The first was Channel X which he and one or two others started to produce The Last Resort, which was his first chat show back in the late eighties and what made him a household name (as a teenager at the time, it was a show I particularly loved). He eventually sold his share in the company for £1 as he wanted to spend more time with his family. At some point later, he started Hotsauce Productions UK along with his wife writer and producer Jane Goldman. From what I can tell other than Big Fat Quiz, it’s mainly Jonathan Ross shows that are produced by the company, which kind of leads me to believe that there is a good chance that either or both of them came up with or were involved in the concept of the BFQ. None of these facts make him a media mogul, just someone that wants control over the shows he makes…just as many other performers have their own production companies that enables them to have a greater control over the actual production and finished product and what can be done with it afterwards.
