Man, as an Austrian kid born in the 2000s, a lot of these hit me right in the nostalgic feels. I stopped caring about Radio music in about 2017 and stopped listening altogether in 2019 I think, I did not realise this type of rap music was this big, but oh well

Basically beginning way earlier than 2017 but having the most effect from 2017 on there was kind of a renaissance of bad German rappers, like the early German "gangster rap" scene. It's been a very sad phase for music, luckily true artists like Apache appeared and reintroduced some true music to the business again. I'm not saying he is entirely good as an artist but at least he's not like the wannabe rappers from the years before. He's a normal guy from Ludwigshafen and played local amateur football (soccer for you) in his youth.

One old video, updated, reduced songs from each year from 10 to 5, and yet as a German I am suprised that most the new additions in 2010-2015 that I heard a lot many years ago turn out to be German. Unbelivable. Still mad about the german rap that started appearing in 2017 but seeing a few songs not only being german rap but also me decently liking them does put a small smile on my face.

I'm so glad that this German rap is passing me by. I come from Germany and live there and am ashamed of this music. It has absolutely nothing to do with music anymore...

2016 was for me the funeral of the German charts. since then I did not like any Song which was done by German people in the charts. - a few international songs werre ok. :)
