This compilation really represents the 2000s. The 2000s were the casting show era and all the winners were in the top 10s. In 2006 was the football world Championship in germany (the best one ever) and 4 football songs made the top 10.

Almost all of the songs here I have never heard of, some like "Summer Vine" I just heard recently on the radio. "Haus am See" is the one I remember the most, mostly because in one of our German lessons we had to try and sing the entire song by head. It wasn't that bad tho because the song was short and simple, making it easy to remember. One of my favorite songs.

RZA released an album a few years ago where he collabrated with European artist and in this case it was Xavier Naidoo. He is arguably one of Germany's best singers of all time. Especially his old stuff "Sie ist nicht von dieser Welt", "Sie sieht mich nicht", "20000 Meilen" etc.

Yo don't sleep on the song "Glashaus - Wenn das Liebe ist". It's one of the most heartbreaking songs ever written. Cassandra Steen is one of our GOAT female singers. Her voice is very unique.

Damn, I haven't heard those songs in like forever. The bad songs no. 3 and 4 from 2000 where from contestants of the first Big Brother season in Germany. Obviously, singing skills were not required 😂

Boybands actually first were big in Germany before everywhere else. Most notably Backstreet Boys started their career here, as did *NSync (but who cares for them xD)

Bolen was/is the worst that could happen to music. Everything he produced was trash. Commercially success, but as music pure trash. And that started already in the 80's with his boyfriend Thomas Anders and Modern Talking.
