the Hinatuan river Enchanted River in Surigao del Sur connected to the Pacific Ocean underground near the Philippine deep that's where the fishes are coming from ** PHILIPPINE DEEP is the world’s second deepest spot underwater is in the Philippines. Also known as the Philippine Deep or the Mindanao Trench, this spot is about 34,440 feet (10,497 meters) below the sea level..The Philippine Trench is the result of a collision of tectonic plates. The Philippine Sea Plate is sub ducting under the Philippine Mobile Belt at the rate of about 16 cm per year (from Wikipedia).

That is in Surigao Del Sur in Southern Philippines, Mindanao. That river is called "HINATU-AN RIVER" or you can pronounce it ("HE-NA-2-UN").

The beach that was shut down before by the president was Boracay. it's for rehabilitation because there were some local and foreign tourists that's not disciplined enough to take care of the nature. also, some establishment on the bay that didn't follow sanitation protocol and just let their sewer drain to some nearby part of the beach. When all these were found out, the island was given importance to be saved. and now, although there are less establishment and more restrictions, it is ok because the beach is becoming healthy again. because of this temporary closure of the tourist spot at that time, it became a warning to other tourist beaches to maintain cleanliness so they won't be shut down. this one in your video is the river, it wasn't shutdown, but there is a specific time where tourists/swimmers are asked to get off the river for a short period of time so the management can feed the fish.

I've been there, it's true it's really enchanted, because the local play a flute then all the fishes on the river rise up and like dancing. And also it's mysterious, no one been go deep diving,they said there is someone who died there a long time cuz of diving and failed it ended up die. There's a specific area only to swim, bit the front and have deep side , there's no one allowed to swim there cuz there's a lot of accident and the fairy don't want to be disturbed

I'' from davao city philippines! I go there many2 times enchanted river is the best! Every 12pm lunchtime the staff there will bring a big bell all the fish will comw out waiting for the feeding😁😁.. no one touch the bottom of that hole yet,hinatuan is the name of the place but that river is "enchanted river". Every weekend so much people going there!

That's why swimmers are only allowed till 5 pm ,when we were little my mom used to tell us a story about this river that it's with fairies, pixies and that fishes there are apparently been looked after by these creatures and nobody can catch those fishes. It is fascinated place. Enchanted river is also called Hinatuan River bcuz it is located in Hinatuan town . Come and visit the place and you won't regret it and will be mesmerized by it .

Enchanted river is also known as Hinatuan River because of where it is located (Hee-nuh-too-an) in Surigao del Sur. Brackish water as it is connected to the sea.

Hinatuan is the name of the river and most likely the name of the place where it's found as well. i think yhe literal translation of enchanted in Tagalog is engkantado. but if something is enchanted, we usually say it's mahiwaga.

Hello. I'm from Philippines. The river name is (pronounce as (hee)HI-NA-TU-AN because is located in Talisay (a municipality), Bayan(town) ng Hinatuan (Town of Hinatuan), Surigao del Sur (Province) of the Philippines Since is in the Town of Hinatuan, they call the river Hinatuan. Since its beautiful and lies in the forest where no one visit it, the people who lives there and so as some people discovered it, they call it Enchanted River. But later, the WOW Philippines Tourist Team also discovered this river and made into a commercial for a tourist spot. News spread so fast, after 2 yrs i think, Jessica Soho of GMA News and her team done a researched about this so called enchanted river. They found out and was featured in one of her tv shows (current events), that this river was not really a river from the start. actually it was just a forest. ....it was damaged because of SINK HOLE. until it break through the channel... so now its called the Enchanted River (Hainatuan River). Been here multiple times. First was in 2010, the latest was just this year 2023. Back then, people were allowed to swim in the lagoon area, which is the deepest part. But now, they had it off limits to swimmers and designated a place for swimming. Having been to various beautiful waters in the Philippines, by far, this is my most favorite. Enchanted River is the clearest and most pristine water I’ve been to. The quality of its water hasn’t changed since I first visited here. The long drive is worth it!

This river is locally known as the Hinatuan Sacred River but for tourism purposes it had been dubbed as the Enchanted River.

Farther down the river you can ride a boat going out to the mouth of the bay where a few fish pen/restaurants are. There you can catch (optional) your own seafood (crabs, lobsters, prawns, fish...) and have it cooked the way you want. There's also Tinuy-an falls in the same area, it's called the little Niagara falls of the Philippines because of it's multiple layered and wide falls.

@@syra3123 Bakit ba ang dali n'yong ma-uto?? May mag sabi lang ng WOW na foreigner naniniwala agad.. Kayo ang nakakahiya.. Mga madaling ma-uto.. At may sinabi ba akong ayaw ko na mapromote ang Pilipinas??? Napopromote ba ng mga amerikanong 'to ang Pilipinas?? Kung ganon bakit mga Pilipino lang din ang mga nanunuod.. Ano yun Jollibee pinopromote sa mga Pilipino?? Kakahiya kayo ang dali n'yong ma-uto..

We have plenty of enchanted river here in the Philippines...take a look at Malumpati Spring that leads to Bugang river in Antique province is one of the ceanest water in the Philippines...

ive been there once and its truly amazing and enchanting. It would be best if u went there at noon since they will feed those fishes larger ones too. but right now they are closing it to public for swimming for safety purposes

Most people especially the foreign tourists who've been to Kawasan falls in Cebu describe the water there like the Gatorade because of its turquoise color!

The end point of this river is still unknown. There are few free divers that attempted to find the rivers end but unfortunately it's still mysterious. Very deep river, It's like the movie 'Sanctum'.
