The issue of water to clean the butt is a very simple analogy, for example if you spill a portion of chili sauce on a table mat than you clean it with tissue and despite it look clean with a naked eye will you think the smell is still there on the mat? definitely Yes. Whereas, if you clean the chili sauce with water definitely the smell is not there anymore what more if you clean it with water + soap.... that's why Muslim practice it with water... If you try it, you will appreciate it very much after several cleanings or days, weeks, etc....😄

For your info. Most of the Malaysia don't wipe our butt when we done with our nature calling. Instead we clean our but with water and soap for hygienic purpose.

it’s not dabau, it’s tapau. tapau also can be said as bungkus, both means take away, like this “bang, boleh tapau?” or “boss, bungkus satu?” at a restaurant, they mean “sir, can you take away this?”

Depends on what language you say it. Tapau is commonly used amongst locals when saying you wanna takeaway the food. Tapau is originally from a Cantonese word. If you say it in Mandarin, then dabao is correct, too. 🙂

Using the right hand is spot on. However, if your right hand is occupied, you can use the left. Just apologise nicely n people will understand. Still, we locals understand and make exception if foreigners didn't know about it. Also, please dress modestly and don't flash breasts n thighs in public. Thanks for explaining about the need for foreigners to use the ron97 petrol. The subsidised ron95 is cheaper but please let the locals use it. Drinking tap water is fine as it is treated n clean..
